Associate Registrar   $75,000 USD/year

Description

You are the person who finds the missing form, spots the wrong date, fixes the record, and keeps the system clean before anyone else sees the problem. If you take pride in making complex admin work run with near-zero errors, keep reading. If you need strategy decks, public speaking, or constant people-facing work to feel engaged, this is not the right fit.

Alpha School is scaling a new kind of school network. That growth creates a hard operational problem: thousands of student files, enrollment packets, transcripts, medical records, attendance updates, and compliance steps must stay accurate as the network expands. This work is not glamorous. It is essential. Clean records keep schools moving, families supported, and leaders out of administrative drag.

You will own the high-volume workflows behind enrollment and student records across a multi-campus education network. In a typical week, you will review intake documents, process records requests, update student information systems, audit data, resolve discrepancies, and support registrar workflows. Over time, as Alpha adds more campuses and students, your work becomes part of the operating backbone that lets the network scale without chaos.

If you are organized, exact, self-directed, and energized by turning large volumes of information into clean, compliant records, we would like to meet you.

What you will be doing

  • Review enrollment and intake documents for completeness, accuracy, and readiness
  • Process student records, transcripts, medical files, enrollment verification documents, and records requests
  • Enter, update, audit, and correct student data in SIS platforms, databases, CRMs, or related systems
  • Track missing requirements and move enrollment paperwork through internal workflows
  • Support registrar operations, including attendance tracking, testing logistics, file management, and administrative projects

What you will NOT be doing

  • Managing enrollment strategy, registrar policy, or school growth plans
  • Serving as the main escalation point for compliance, accreditation, or regulatory issues
  • Conducting sales activities, closing families, or owning family relationship management
  • Presenting to large groups or acting as a public-facing school representative
  • Managing a team or delegating the detailed records work to others

Key responsibilities

This role exists so Alpha School can scale enrollment across a growing school network with accurate, complete, compliant, and audit-ready student records.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience managing high-volume administrative workflows involving documentation, records, or data
  • Experience maintaining accurate information in databases, CRMs, SIS platforms, or similar systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent workflows while maintaining strong accuracy
  • Strong written communication, organization, prioritization, and follow-through
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly
  • Comfort working independently in a fully remote role
  • Authorized to work in the United States or Canada

Nice to have

  • Experience in student records, school registrar operations, admissions operations, or education administration
  • Experience in healthcare, legal, insurance, or other compliance-heavy administrative environments
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in any field
