Software Architect   $100,000 USD/year

Description

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will tackle complex technical problems while delivering features that drive meaningful outcomes. This position is focused on building AI-powered educational products that reshape how individuals learn and develop. Your work will emphasize rigorous execution, with a commitment to scalable, maintainable, and impactful software.

The products you'll contribute to are revolutionizing education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-style learning platform.
  • TeachTales: Captivates learners through personalized, immersive storytelling designed to enhance understanding.
  • TimeBack: Serves as an intelligent learning assistant that integrates seamlessly with existing tools to coach students proactively.
  • Athena: Delivers quantifiable academic progress using AI-generated video content and assessments.

This position is designed to generate tangible results through production-ready software. You will leverage AI tooling and cloud-native infrastructure to create full-stack solutions addressing significant challenges, rather than simply executing task lists. You are expected to deliver rapidly while maintaining standards, selecting the most straightforward viable approach that honors both immediate velocity and future sustainability.

If solving intricate technical problems and shipping features with real impact excites you, we want to connect.

What you will be doing

  • Deliver Full-Stack Capabilities End-to-End: Transform user stories into live functionality by clarifying needs, architecting scalable approaches, implementing backend and frontend logic, conducting comprehensive testing, and deploying to production
  • Identify and Resolve Defects: Conduct root cause investigations to uncover underlying issues, address actual problems rather than surface-level symptoms, and prevent future regressions through intelligent test coverage
  • Elevate Engineering Standards: Assess technical designs and code submissions to guarantee clarity, simplicity, and accuracy, preventing technical debt from entering the codebase

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating pixel-precise interfaces or intricate backend architectures for their own sake
  • Executing specifications without grasping the underlying user problem
  • Spending excessive time in meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or coordinating with others
  • Merely delivering features; your accountability extends to solving genuine problems

Key responsibilities

  • Applying AI to develop software that addresses authentic user needs, deploys quickly, and remains sustainable over time

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years writing production-grade code for both frontend and backend of web applications (framework-agnostic).
  • Proven ownership: Track record of owning entire modules, product capabilities, or teams—not merely completing isolated tasks
  • Self-directed execution: Capacity to remove your own blockers, manage your own velocity, and navigate forward through ambiguous contexts
  • Practical experience incorporating generative A.I. into daily development workflows
