Full Stack Engineer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

Full-Stack Engineers who excel at tackling complex problems and shipping high-impact features are invited to join our team. You will contribute to the development of AI-powered educational products that reshape how individuals learn and advance. Your work will emphasize rigorous execution, with a focus on building products that scale effectively, remain maintainable, and deliver measurable impact.

The products you'll contribute to are reshaping education:

  • TeachTap: An AI-driven platform that animates historical figures within a TikTok-style learning interface.
  • TeachTales: A tool that captivates students through personalized, immersive storytelling designed to enhance comprehension.
  • TimeBack: A learning copilot that embeds within existing applications to provide proactive student coaching.
  • Athena: Delivers concrete academic results through AI-generated video content and assessments.

This position is designed to produce tangible impact via functional software. You will leverage AI tooling and cloud-native infrastructure to construct full-stack systems that address substantive challenges, rather than simply completing task lists. The expectation is rapid delivery without sacrificing quality, selecting the most straightforward correct approach that harmonizes immediate velocity with sustained maintainability.

If solving demanding technical problems and delivering meaningful features aligns with your goals, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and Deploy Full-Stack Capabilities: Shepherd user stories from conception through delivery; define requirements clearly, architect solutions that scale, implement backend and frontend logic, conduct comprehensive testing, and release to production environments
  • Identify and Resolve Defects: Conduct root cause investigations into issues, address underlying problems rather than surface-level symptoms, and prevent regressions through intelligent testing strategies
  • Elevate Standards for Code Quality: Evaluate technical plans and code submissions to confirm clarity, simplicity, and correctness, preventing technical debt accumulation at the outset

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backend architectures as ends in themselves
  • Implementing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying problem context
  • Spending excessive time in meetings debating roadmaps and priorities, or pursuing stakeholders for input
  • Merely delivering features; your accountability extends to resolving genuine user problems

Key responsibilities

  • Applying AI to create software that addresses authentic user needs, achieves rapid deployment, and sustains long-term maintainability

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years building production-grade code for both frontend and backend components of web applications (framework-agnostic).
  • Proven ownership: Documented track record of owning entire modules, product capabilities, or teams—not merely executing isolated tasks
  • Self-directed execution: Capacity to resolve blockers independently, establish your own workflow, and navigate ambiguous circumstances effectively
  • Practical experience integrating generative A.I. into daily development workflows
