Description

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is an in-person position based at our Austin, Texas campus.

Traditional schools focus on teaching students what to think. This position focuses on teaching them how to execute.

Alpha is creating a reimagined high school where students don't passively absorb lectures or memorize facts. Instead, they build, ship, communicate, and grow. They launch projects, validate ideas, and acquire real-world capabilities that many adults never develop. Your role is to ensure they not only do this work but do it exceptionally well.

You will engage directly with high school students as they launch businesses, manage projects, and cultivate the confidence, communication skills, and competence needed to thrive beyond the classroom. You are not here to deliver theory. You are here to coach execution. You will establish high standards, maintain accountability, and challenge students to produce work that meets real-world benchmarks.

This position is designed for individuals who have accomplished something significant outside academic settings—whether building a product, cultivating an audience, working within a startup, or generating results in a dynamic environment—and wish to leverage that expertise to develop the next generation. If you seek a conventional teaching position, this is not the right fit. If you want to influence how ambitious teenagers think, operate, and perform, this is your opportunity.

If you have achieved something substantial in your career and want to dedicate your time to guiding motivated teenagers toward realizing their potential, this is the role. Apply now

  • Monitor student development across the 3 C's and take action when performance declines
  • Maintain clear communication with students and parents regarding progress, performance gaps, and recommended actions

What you will NOT be doing

  • Conducting conventional lectures or following a standardized curriculum
  • Grading large volumes of homework or emphasizing theoretical concepts
  • Coddling disengaged students or compromising standards for comfort
