Your role is not instruction. Your role is motivation.
When a six-year-old reaches 99% of their target, the most supportive response is to refuse to accept it as complete. If that expectation troubles you, this role is not a fit. If it energizes you—because maintaining high standards is how you demonstrate belief in a kindergartener's capability—read on.
Alpha students in grades K-2 complete academic learning via AI-powered applications during two hours each day. No traditional lectures. No paper worksheets. You will spend half of each day facilitating one-hour life-skills workshops focused on public speaking, concentration, and peer feedback. These workshops serve as frameworks, not rigid scripts—the most effective Guides customize them for their group and create new ones when gaps appear. During the remaining half, you work individually or in small clusters with students, analyze Coachbot data, and coach each child toward 100% completion of weekly app targets. With five- and six-year-olds, energy and playfulness are not supplementary; they are the mechanisms that sustain attention long enough to enable learning. Warmth creates the trust that allows you to challenge. Challenge signals your confidence in their potential.
A successful quarter means every student completes weekly app objectives, passes the Test2Pass for every life-skills workshop, and 90%+ report loving you. Falling short on any of these three is failing to meet the role's core expectations. In your first year, you will internalize the operating model; as you demonstrate your ability to maintain standards, advancement to Lead Guide becomes available—a role in which you mentor newer team members while continuing direct work with students.
If you are drawn to conventional classroom teaching, prefer ready-made curricula, or see warmth and rigor as incompatible, this position will not suit you. If you have been an early-elementary educator who excelled at circle time, a camp counselor for young children, a youth sports coach, a children's theater performer, or anyone capable of commanding a room of kindergarteners through vocal presence, play, and pure energy, the final step before an offer is a shadow day on campus where you coach actual Alpha students. If that prospect is what excites you most, submit your application today.
Ensure every student in your K-2 cohort completes their weekly learning objectives, achieves mastery in each life skill, and finishes the year reporting that they loved you.
