Children don't always recall every lesson. They remember the person who believed in them. That's this role.
At Alpha, academic work happens in just two hours per day through adaptive learning technology. This structure allows Guides to focus on what truly shifts outcomes: fostering confidence, resilience, communication skills, and the drive to pursue difficult challenges. You won't deliver lectures from the front of a room. Instead, you'll coach students through obstacles, recognize progress, and demonstrate what rigorous standards look like when combined with authentic belief.
You'll oversee one K-3 cohort band—either Kindergarten-1st grade or 2nd-3rd grade. Half your time is dedicated to facilitating dynamic, one-hour workshops focused on life skills such as public speaking, concentration, and giving feedback. The remainder is spent providing individualized and small-group coaching, leveraging learning analytics to guide every child toward ambitious weekly targets. Each moment counts. Students should exit your workshops more skilled than when they entered and finish your coaching sessions convinced they can accomplish more than they imagined.
This position is not designed for someone seeking to deliver curriculum or run a traditional classroom. It's meant for someone who enjoys inspiring young learners, values measurable results, and believes the right guide can alter a child's path. If you've motivated children as an educator, coach, camp counselor, youth mentor, or performer, you'll discover a distinctly different kind of learning environment here.
This is a full-time, on-site position at an Alpha campus. We recruit across the country, so job postings may appear in nearby cities without a campus.
Current openings at this salary level are available in Scottsdale, AZ; Oklahoma City and Tulsa, OK; Nashville, TN; Austin, Georgetown, Dallas, Plano, Fort Worth, and Houston, TX; and Park City (Salt Lake City area), UT.
