You've dedicated years to coaching young people — not teaching them. You understand the distinction: a coach builds rapport, pushes boundaries, and holds students accountable to their potential. A teacher transmits information. You've never been an information transmission device.
Alpha operates one of the most nontraditional schools you'll encounter. Students don't occupy desks while being lectured at. They progress through AI-driven learning applications at individualized speeds. AI manages the academic instruction. Your responsibility is to facilitate life skills workshops that captivate K-8 students, conduct motivation sessions that drive them toward their weekly learning targets, and maintain standards when a student attempts to disengage. The academics are self-sustaining. You manage the human dimension.
This position offers meaningful upward trajectory, and that trajectory is measured by deeper student outcomes. Those who consistently achieve their metrics (100% cohort achievement of weekly app targets, satisfaction ratings of 90% or higher) advance into Lead Guide positions where they mentor other educators in refining this work. Students remain the focal point.

What you will be doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students on topics including public speaking, concentration, and feedback exchange
- Administering Test2Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have authentically mastered the skill, not merely attended
- Conducting daily motivation sessions leveraging student profiles, individual interests, and Coachbot analytics to drive 100% of your cohort to achieve their weekly app progression goals
- Deploying storytelling techniques, incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and personal relationships to overcome student reluctance
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction metrics with a 90%+ benchmark on student feedback surveys
What you will NOT be doing
- Lecturing from the front of a room. Students progress academically via self-paced AI-driven applications, not through direct instruction from you.
- Supervising passively. Children working on computers describes the environment; active facilitation defines the role.
- Compromising standards when students resist. Test2Pass benchmarks remain firm, regardless of individual student circumstances during a difficult week.
- Creating curriculum independently. Lesson frameworks and workshop materials are supplied; your responsibility is to execute them with the narrative skill and presence that ensures genuine student comprehension.
- Handling parent communications, conducting admissions processes, or directing campus logistics. Those functions belong to separate roles.

Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students
- Strong storytelling and facilitation capability — capacity to maintain children's engagement for one-hour sessions
- Willingness to work on-site at the Alpha campus located in Brownsville, TX
- Authorization to work legally in the US without requiring visa sponsorship
Nice to have
- Experience as an athletic coach, camp counselor, or youth program leader
- Demonstrated history of high achievement in competitive settings (academic, athletic, or professional)
- Familiarity with self-directed or app-based educational environments
