What you will be doing
- Facilitating Workshops: Create and deliver workshops that prompt students to think, "I didn't realize I was capable of this!" Covering topics from public speaking to entrepreneurship, you will teach practical skills that motivate and inspire.
- Conducting daily Motivation Sessions: Begin each day by guiding students to establish meaningful goals and adopt the mindset needed to achieve them.
- Supporting student achievement: Apply established playbooks to ensure each student reaches challenging academic and personal milestones.
- Developing personalized motivational approaches: Collaborate with students to create reward systems and incentives that encourage independent pursuit of excellence.
What you will NOT be doing
- Conventional instruction: Traditional chalkboards and lectures are not part of Alpha's model. Students engage with advanced applications to master core content—your function is to guide, motivate, and enhance their educational experience.
- Administering discipline: Punishment is not our approach. You will rely on reasoning and positive reinforcement to maintain a respectful and stimulating environment.
Candidate requirements
- Willingness to work in person in Brownsville, TX. Relocation assistance is available.
- Bachelor's degree in any subject.
- Experience employing a growth mindset to achieve a high level of performance
- High level of energy and a desire to boost others up.
- A desire to connect, inspire, and motivate K-8th grade students.
- Legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
