You've built your career around coaching children — not instructing them. You understand the distinction: a coach motivates, pushes boundaries, and demands students reach their full potential. An instructor simply transmits information. You have never functioned as an information delivery mechanism.
Alpha operates one of the most nontraditional schools in existence. Students do not sit in classroom rows listening to lectures. They progress through AI-driven learning applications at an individualized pace. The AI manages academic instruction. Your responsibility is to facilitate life skills workshops that captivate K-8 students, conduct motivation sessions that drive them toward their weekly learning targets, and maintain high standards when a student attempts to underperform. The academic component runs itself. You manage the human element.
This position offers a meaningful advancement trajectory, and that trajectory is increased student impact. Guides who consistently meet performance benchmarks (100% of cohort achieving weekly app targets, satisfaction scores above 90%) advance into Lead Guide positions where they train other educators to execute this model effectively. Students remain the central focus.

What you will be doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students on topics including public speaking, focus, and constructive feedback exchange
- Administering Test2Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have truly acquired the skill, not merely attended
- Conducting daily motivation sessions leveraging student profiles, personal interests, and Coachbot analytics to ensure 100% of your cohort reaches their weekly app progression goals
- Utilizing storytelling techniques, incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and one-on-one connection to overcome student resistance
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction scores with a target of 90%+ on student surveys
What you will NOT be doing
- Teaching from the front of a classroom. Students progress academically via self-paced AI-powered applications, not through direct instruction from you.
- Supervising passive screen time. The environment involves kids using computers; the role demands active facilitation.
- Compromising standards when students resist. Test2Pass expectations remain consistent, even during challenging weeks.
- Creating original curriculum materials. Lesson frameworks and workshop guides are supplied; your responsibility is to execute them with the presence and narrative skill that ensures genuine student engagement.
- Handling parent communication, admissions processes, or facility management. Those functions belong to separate roles.

Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students
- Strong storytelling and facilitation skills — capable of maintaining student engagement throughout hour-long sessions
- Availability to work on-site at the Alpha campus in Brownsville, TX
- Authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship
Nice to have
- Experience as an athletic coach, camp counselor, or youth program leader
- Demonstrated history of high achievement in competitive settings (academic, athletic, or professional)
- Familiarity with self-directed or application-based learning environments
