You've dedicated years to coaching young people — not merely instructing them. You understand the distinction: coaching means connecting, challenging, and refusing to accept anything less than a student's full potential. Instruction is just content transmission. You've never operated as a content transmission device.
Alpha operates one of the most unconventional schools you'll encounter. Students don't occupy desks in rows while being lectured at. They progress through AI-driven learning applications at individual speeds. The AI manages instructional delivery. Your role is to facilitate life skills workshops that capture the attention of K-8 students, conduct motivation sessions that drive them toward their weekly learning targets, and maintain standards when a student attempts to disengage. The academic component is self-sustaining. You manage the human element.
This position offers a ceiling worth pursuing, and that ceiling is greater student impact. Educators who consistently achieve their metrics (100% cohort attainment of weekly app targets, satisfaction scores above 90%) advance into Lead Guide positions where they mentor other educators in refining this approach. Students remain the focus.

What you will be doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students on topics including public speaking, concentration, and feedback exchange
- Administering Test2Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have genuinely acquired the skill, not merely attended
- Conducting daily motivation sessions leveraging student profiles, personal interests, and Coachbot analytics to achieve 100% cohort attainment of weekly app progression targets
- Employing storytelling techniques, incentive structures (campus currency, leaderboards), and individual rapport to overcome student resistance
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction metrics toward a 90%+ benchmark on student feedback surveys
What you will NOT be doing
- Delivering board-based lectures. Students progress academically via self-directed AI-powered applications, not through direct instruction from you.
- Supervising without engagement. The environment involves students using computers; the role demands active facilitation.
- Compromising standards when students resist. Test2Pass requirements remain firm, irrespective of a student's difficult week.
- Creating curriculum independently. Lesson frameworks and workshop guides are supplied; your responsibility is executing them with the presence and narrative skill that ensures genuine student absorption.
- Handling parent relations, admissions processes, or campus administration. Those functions belong to different roles.

Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Minimum of 3 years direct experience working with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students
- Strong storytelling and facilitation skills — capable of maintaining child engagement for one-hour sessions
- Availability to work on-site at the Alpha campus located in Brownsville, TX
- Authorization to work legally in the US without requiring visa sponsorship
Nice to have
- Experience as an athletic coach, camp counselor, or youth program leader
- Demonstrated high achievement in competitive settings (academic, athletic, or professional contexts)
- Familiarity with self-directed or application-based learning environments
