Alpha operates a school model unlike any you've encountered. There are no rows of desks with students listening to lectures. Instead, learners progress through AI-driven educational apps at their own speed. The AI manages instructional content. Your responsibility is facilitating life skills workshops that capture the attention of K-8 students, conducting motivation sessions that drive them toward their weekly learning targets, and maintaining standards when students attempt to cruise by. The academic progression happens independently. You manage the human element.
This position offers a meaningful growth trajectory, with advancement tied to deeper student outcomes. Educators who consistently achieve performance targets (100% cohort completion of weekly app goals, satisfaction scores above 90%) transition into Lead Guide positions where they mentor other staff on refining these practices. Students remain the priority.

What you will be doing
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 students on topics including public speaking, concentration, and constructive feedback exchange
- Administering Test2Pass mastery assessments following each workshop to verify students have truly acquired the skill, not merely attended the session
- Conducting daily motivation sessions informed by student profiles, personal interests, and Coachbot analytics to ensure 100% of your cohort achieves their weekly app progression goals
- Leveraging narrative techniques, incentive structures (school currency, leaderboards), and individual relationships to overcome student reluctance
- Monitoring cohort satisfaction metrics with a target of 90%+ on student surveys
What you will NOT be doing
- Delivering traditional lectures at a whiteboard. Academic advancement happens through self-paced AI-powered applications, not direct instruction from you.
- Providing passive supervision. The environment involves students working on computers; your role requires active facilitation and engagement.
- Compromising standards when students resist. Test2Pass requirements remain non-negotiable, even during challenging weeks for individual students.
- Designing curriculum materials from the ground up. Workshop frameworks and lesson plans are supplied; your responsibility is executing them with the storytelling ability and presence that drives genuine student learning.
- Handling parent communications, leading admissions processes, or overseeing campus-level operations. Those functions belong to separate positions.

Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any field
- Minimum of 3 years working directly with K-8 (elementary and middle school) students
- Strong storytelling and facilitation skills — capable of maintaining the engagement of a room full of children for an hour
- Available to work on-site at the Alpha campus in Brownsville, TX
- Authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship
Nice to have
- Experience as a sports coach, camp counselor, or youth program leader
- Demonstrated high achievement in competitive settings (academic, athletic, or professional)
- Prior work in self-directed or app-based learning environments
