  • Hours: Flexible part-time or full-time arrangements (10 hours per week minimum)
  • Schedule: Select your hours within school operating times, Mon - Fri, 8 am - 4 pm
  • Pay: $30 per hour ($60,000 annual salary + benefits if full-time)
  • Start date: Immediate

What you will be doing

  • Preparing materials, equipment, and spaces for workshops and sessions.
  • Providing support to academic staff.
  • Facilitating and monitoring student engagement.
  • Coordinating schedules and managing session transitions.
  • Being mentored by leaders who are reshaping K-12 education.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Observing passively: You won't merely supervise from a distance; you'll directly support students throughout their educational experience.
  • Experiencing role overload: You're not required to deliver lectures, lead full classes, or provide emotional counseling (yet); those responsibilities belong to the Guide.
  • Performing tasks without purpose: This role offers genuine impact. You'll contribute meaningfully to student growth and success, ensuring every hour counts.

Key responsibilities

Assist Guides in fulfilling Alpha's core promises to students: guaranteeing academic achievement, developing essential life skills, and cultivating an enduring passion for learning.

Candidate requirements

  • Willing to work in person at our Miami campus.
  • Work a minimum of 10 hours per week, with total flexibility to choose your schedule during school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Option for full-time position.
  • Experience working with kids.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Kid-friendly, approachable personality.
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
