Alpha operates a compressed K-12 model: every minute accounted for, faster-paced than conventional schools, centered on a Guide whose sole focus is teaching. The system functions only when someone controls the operational backbone — seamless transitions, materials staged before instruction begins, student focus maintained before minor issues escalate.
You're embedded from day one. No gradual onboarding. You monitor the classroom, apply Alpha's motivational protocols (positive reinforcement, structured cues, immediate redirection), and prepare each segment so the Guide enters ready to teach. When you execute well, a wandering student refocuses before the lesson loses momentum. The standards are explicit: 95% on-time transitions, materials prepped ahead of every lesson, sustained student engagement.

What you will be doing
- Overseeing transitions between activities (approximately 30% of your time): tracking the schedule, cueing students to move, and applying positive reinforcement to maintain orderly, timely movement
- Staging classroom materials ahead of each lesson by collecting supplies, arranging them according to the activity plan, and verifying the setup aligns with the Guide's specifications before teaching starts
- Supporting student engagement during structured activities (approximately 40% of your time) by observing participation, spotting disengagement as it begins, and redirecting students through Alpha-approved classroom management methods without disrupting instruction
What you will NOT be doing
- Waiting passively at the back of the room for problems to surface — this role demands active involvement and moment-to-moment judgment throughout the school day
- Creating lessons, drafting activity plans, or owning academic results (those belong to the Guide)
- Developing your own behavior management style; Alpha's motivational techniques are prescribed and you'll implement them uniformly
- Handling facility maintenance, carpool coordination, or evening events; your focus is classroom operations during school hours

Candidate requirements
- Available to work on-site at our Scottsdale campus.
- Commit to at least 10 hours per week, with complete flexibility to select your hours during school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Full-time role available.
- Prior experience working with children ages 5–14 in a structured environment (school, camp, childcare, tutoring, or coaching).
- Capable of coordinating people, materials, and activities efficiently and with precision.
- Comfortable with children and skilled at redirecting them using positive encouragement.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Direct group management experience with children in active settings (camp counselor, classroom aide, teacher's aide, paraprofessional, youth sports coach, or after-school program coordinator)
- Background in a mastery-based, competency-based, or structured learning environment (Montessori, project-based learning, or similar models)
- Proven ability to keep groups on schedule through positive redirection instead of escalating to adult authority
