Chief Development Officer   $400,000 USD/year

Description

Do you envision turning skeptics into staunch advocates? Are you ready to spearhead an educational revolution?

Join us at 2 Hour Learning, where we're reimagining education by condensing traditional school days into 2 hours of AI-driven learning. We need a charismatic communicator to transform discerning parents into passionate supporters of our vision.

This role calls for someone with a commanding presence, adept at navigating high-stakes scenarios, whether in boardrooms, media interactions, or pivotal parent meetings. You excel at turning resistance into advocacy and believe in building lasting credibility through unwavering standards.

If your career is built on commanding attention, shaping narratives, and converting skeptics into evangelists, let's discuss leading the charge in educational transformation.

What you will be doing

  • Delivering impactful presentations to convert skeptics into advocates.
  • Developing networks of parent champions who promote our vision in their communities.
  • Creating systems that turn individual successes into advocacy opportunities.
  • Building feedback systems to capture and address parent sentiments early.
  • Leading media interactions and crafting narratives around our innovative approach.
  • Identifying and leveraging strategic opportunities to highlight our transformative impact.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Participating in traditional parent-teacher associations or school committees.
  • Organizing social events without strategic advocacy objectives.
  • Compromising our educational model to appease influential parents.
  • Reactively addressing concerns rather than proactively shaping narratives.

Key responsibilities

Transform our parent community into a powerful advocacy engine by creating scalable approaches that develop parent champions across campuses, while maintaining our commitment to educational excellence.

Candidate requirements

  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Austin, TX.
  • 7+ years of experience converting stakeholders or skeptics into advocates (e.g., Head of Customer Advocacy, Chief Communications Officer, Chief Development Officer working with major donors, VP of Enterprise Sales, Director of Community Relations, or Change Management Consultant).
  • Exceptional executive presence and the ability to engage sophisticated audiences.
  • Proven track record in high-stakes communications (media appearances, board presentations, crisis management).
  • Success in building and scaling advocacy communities from the ground up.
  • Ability to uphold policies with influential stakeholders while fostering relationships and maintaining standards.
  • Firm belief in innovative methods to revolutionize education.

What you will learn

While we seek your expertise in community building and stakeholder management, you'll apply these skills at the forefront of educational transformation. You'll pioneer AI-driven K-12 education, reshape parent and educator perspectives, and lead the most significant change in education delivery since the classroom's inception. If you're excited about working at the intersection of transformative technology and educational excellence, you'll help craft the blueprint for building parent advocacy in the AI era.

Work examples

Imagine turning a skeptical CEO mother into a vocal champion after addressing her concerns at a parent meeting. She now hosts gatherings to convince others of our model's potential.

When parents voiced concerns about AI's role in education, you preemptively crafted a compelling presentation, transforming a potential crisis into an advocacy moment. The presentation was shared widely, becoming a tool for recruitment.

Your systematic approach to parent engagement has created a network of advocates across all grade levels. New families meet with current parents who enthusiastically endorse our model, independently organizing community information sessions.

Your strategic approach ensures that concerns transform into opportunities to reinforce confidence in our model, building a movement of parents dedicated to our educational revolution.
