Remote Youth Program Assistant   $40,000 USD/year

Description

This position focuses on creating an environment where students feel motivated, engaged, and prepared to succeed—without the burden of curriculum design or grading.

Novatio School is transforming the approach to student support. Our AI-driven learning system delivers core instruction in two concentrated morning hours. The afternoon schedule is dedicated to live, interactive workshops where students explore ideas, build skills, and develop confidence.

You will maintain momentum and ensure seamless operations. Your work includes guiding students through transitions, fostering participation in collaborative activities, and providing encouragement when challenges arise. Content instruction is not part of your responsibilities, but your presence will be critical to the success of every session.

If you have experience leading young people in environments such as camps, athletics, tutoring, or community programs—and you want to help make education feel meaningful, engaging, and personalized—this opportunity may be the right fit.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and organizing group interactions
  • Encouraging student participation through direct messaging, recognition, and one-on-one engagement
  • Ensuring students remain focused, confident, and socially connected throughout their learning experience
  • Providing operational support to lead educators to maintain the flow and quality of workshop sessions
  • Serving as a positive, consistent presence and culture advocate across bilingual programming and student clubs

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject matter
  • Developing lesson plans or evaluating student work
  • Building curriculum or facilitating workshops independently
  • Observing passively—this role demands active involvement and sustained energy

Key responsibilities

Facilitate engaging, virtual learning sessions by ensuring students remain motivated, well-organized, and actively participating throughout each workshop.

Candidate requirements

  • Willing to work 8am - 5pm M-F US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
  • At least 1 year of experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or leading youth
  • Educational background in US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - must have attended school in one of these countries (current location can be anywhere)
  • Strong communication skills and energizing, student-first presence with an eye for details
  • Ready to start by the end of July

Nice to have

  • Experience with online learning tools or youth enrichment programs
  • Background in after-school programs, summer camps, or club leadership
