Student Engagement Facilitator   $40,000 USD/year

Description

Imagine a role centered entirely on making students feel enthusiastic, empowered, and eager to participate—without the burden of grading or curriculum design.

Novatio School is transforming the way we think about student support. Our AI-driven academic model delivers core instruction in just two concentrated morning hours. The afternoon shifts to live, interactive workshops where students explore interests, collaborate, and develop new skills.

Your focus will be maintaining momentum and ensuring seamless operations. You'll guide students through transitions, foster engagement in small group settings, and provide encouragement when challenges arise. Content delivery isn't your responsibility, but your presence will be critical to the success of every session.

If you've worked with young people in any capacity—whether through camps, athletics, tutoring, or youth development programs—and you're eager to help school feel meaningful, dynamic, and engaging, this opportunity may be exactly what you're looking for.

What you will be doing

  • Facilitating live virtual workshops by coordinating breakout rooms, managing transitions, and overseeing group activities
  • Encouraging student participation and building confidence through chat engagement, recognition, and one-on-one outreach
  • Maintaining student focus, morale, and connection throughout learning sessions
  • Supporting lead educators with operational tasks that ensure workshops function seamlessly
  • Serving as a culture champion and reliable presence across bilingual programming and club activities

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or teaching subject matter
  • Developing lesson plans or evaluating student work
  • Building curriculum or facilitating workshops independently
  • Taking a passive role—this position requires active, energetic involvement

Key responsibilities

Enable dynamic, virtual learning environments by ensuring students remain engaged, prepared, and motivated across each workshop experience.

Candidate requirements

  • Willing to work 8am - 5pm M-F US Mountain Time (UTC-7)
  • At least 1 year of experience mentoring, coaching, tutoring, or leading youth
  • Educational background in US, Canadian, or UK school systems (K-16) - must have attended school in one of these countries (current location can be anywhere)
  • Strong communication skills and energizing, student-first presence with an eye for details
  • Ready to start by the end of July

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms or youth development initiatives
  • Experience in after-school settings, summer camp environments, or extracurricular leadership roles
