Campus Operations Coordinator   $110,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our NYC campus.

Traditional schools often limit what students can achieve. Alpha takes a different approach, redesigning education for learners who move faster than conventional classrooms allow. We are seeking a detail-oriented operator to create smooth, organized, high-performance systems that enable outstanding learning outcomes every day.

Alpha is not a typical private school. We integrate demanding academics with practical skills and a validated 2-Hour Learning model that accelerates student progress beyond standard grade expectations. In this position, you serve as the operational core of our campus: you manage the rhythm of each day, safeguard focused learning time, and maintain tight execution so Guides can mentor without operational disruption. You will handle safety, facilities, and foundational tech administration while cultivating a culture of warmth and high standards for students and families.

If you excel at designing clear systems, resolving problems quickly, and delivering measurable impact, this role is a strong fit. You will create a campus environment that is purposeful, efficient, and motivating—where academic drive is valued and self-reliance is developed. Join us to help build a school where driven students advance faster, develop resilience, and lead with integrity.

What you will be doing

  • Managing all daily campus operations to ensure the 2-Hour Learning schedule runs on time and without disruption.
  • Handling front-line technical support (device configuration, basic troubleshooting) and coordinating with IT for advanced issues.
  • Establishing trust with students, families, and staff through precise communication and reliable execution.
  • Executing and reviewing campus safety protocols; overseeing drills, incident documentation, and vendor relationships.
  • Enabling key initiatives—events, staff onboarding, supply and facilities oversight—to maintain campus performance at a high standard.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing curriculum; Guides handle student mentorship while you ensure operational precision.
  • Operating from a remote back office with limited visibility; your efforts directly enhance student results and family satisfaction.
  • Spending time on low-value tasks unrelated to accelerated learning; all your work connects to speed, safety, or quality standards.

Key responsibilities

Lead comprehensive campus operations to ensure our campus functions on schedule, meets standards, and supports faster learning alongside exceptional family experience.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 1+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or comparable high-service settings.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain composed under pressure, exercise initiative, and manage competing priorities autonomously.
  • Proficiency with basic IT troubleshooting and Google Workspace administration.
  • Clear, professional written and spoken communication that fosters community confidence.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States and availability to work on-site in NYC, NY.
