Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is a full-time, in-person position based at our Palo Alto campus.

Looking to move beyond conventional schools that limit student growth? Alpha is redefining education for learners who exceed traditional classroom expectations. We seek a motivated operator to create smooth, composed, high-caliber systems that enable outstanding learning—day after day.

Alpha is not a typical private school. We integrate demanding academics with practical competencies and a validated 2-Hour Learning framework that accelerates student progress beyond standard grade trajectories. In this position, you serve as the operational foundation of our campus: you control daily flow, safeguard focused learning time, and maintain precision across all details so Guides can mentor without interruption. You'll manage safety protocols, facility operations, and foundational technology administration while cultivating a supportive, high-expectation environment for students and families.

If you excel with structured workflows, rapid troubleshooting, and measurable results, this role fits you. You'll design a campus atmosphere that feels purposeful, streamlined, and invigorating—where academic drive is recognized and self-reliance is developed. Join us to build a school where driven students advance faster, develop more fully, and lead with integrity.

What you will be doing

  • Managing complete daily campus operations to maintain the 2-Hour Learning schedule without delays or disruptions.
  • Handling first-line technology support (equipment configuration, rapid troubleshooting) and coordinating escalations with IT teams.
  • Establishing trust with students, families, and colleagues through precise communication and reliable execution.
  • Deploying and reviewing campus safety procedures; overseeing drills, incident documentation, and vendor relationships.
  • Enabling critical functions—events, staff integration, supply/facility oversight—to ensure the campus consistently meets elevated standards.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering academic instruction or developing curriculum; Guides handle student mentorship while you ensure operational strength.
  • Operating from a remote office with limited exposure; your contributions directly enhance student achievement and family satisfaction.
  • Wasting effort on low-value tasks unrelated to accelerated learning; every responsibility connects to efficiency, security, or excellence.

Key responsibilities

Lead comprehensive campus operations to ensure our site functions punctually, consistently, and at a standard that supports faster learning and outstanding family engagement.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (any field)
  • 1+ years overseeing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or a comparable high-touch service setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to remain composed during emergencies, act proactively, and balance competing demands autonomously.
  • Comfort with foundational IT troubleshooting and Google Workspace administration.
  • Strong, professional written and spoken communication that fosters community confidence.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States and capacity to work on-site in Palo Alto, CA.
