Montessori Instructional Coach   $150,000 USD/year

Description

  • Onsite position in Austin, TX. Relocation assistance available
  • $150,000 annual salary, paid weekly
  • Full health, dental, and vision coverage starting day one

Imagine a learning environment where every play interaction drives documented developmental progress.

Alpha operates outside the boundaries of conventional education. Our PreK model merges play-driven curriculum architecture with live developmental tracking — no prescriptive teaching scripts, no procedural checklists. You will architect adaptive learning experiences spanning all readiness domains, guide a team of educators to implement them with both rigor and warmth, and monitor quantifiable milestone achievement for each child under your stewardship.

This is a classroom-connected leadership position. Approximately one-third of your time will be spent directly in learning spaces — demonstrating facilitation approaches, conducting observations, and facilitating calibration discussions. The remainder involves curriculum architecture, coaching educators with concrete and trackable objectives, and providing families with data-informed progress communications. The outcomes will be tangible: four-year-olds reaching developmental markers ahead of schedule, educators elevating their performance metrics consistently, and families becoming champions of the program.

Coach the educators. Architect the learning. Submit your application.

What you will be doing

  • Conduct individualized and group coaching with PreK educators, demonstrating effective methods and recognizing measurable progress
  • Architect and lead play-driven learning experiences integrating social-emotional learning, literacy, numeracy, and motor development — serving as the exemplar for your team
  • Audit and calibrate educator documentation on a weekly basis to ensure rubric consistency and practical utility, facilitating calibration meetings to maintain milestone tracking transparency
  • Develop family communication materials and facilitate team alignment sessions that unify priorities and strengthen collective commitment to campus PreK readiness targets

What you will NOT be doing

  • Executing predetermined lesson plans or procedure-focused protocols — you will create responsive, play-centered learning themes informed by actual performance data
  • Delivering a standardized curriculum dictated from leadership — you control quarterly and week-to-week instructional design
  • Operating independently without structured input — coaching dialogues and calibration reviews are embedded in your weekly rhythm
  • Overseeing elementary or secondary students using digital platforms — this position is exclusively early childhood, tactile, classroom-embedded work

Key responsibilities

Lead campus PreK readiness achievement through educator development, programmatic consistency, and engaging, evidence-informed classroom environments.

  • Demonstrated capability in designing and delivering play-based educational frameworks or programs that support developmental milestone attainment e.g. Montessori
  • Minimum 1 year of experience coaching or supervising educators with clear performance expectations
  • Track record of creating written family progress reports and conducting team coordination meetings within educational environments
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without requirement for visa sponsorship
  • Commitment to onsite work at Alpha Austin campus with relocation assistance offered as applicable

Nice to have

  • Background with educational technology systems, adaptive reporting interfaces, or digital assessment tools applied in early childhood contexts
  • Experience implementing behavioral support approaches and co-regulation methods for children in the 3-5 age range
