Alpha School is transforming the landscape of education. By combining AI-powered learning, progression based on mastery, and outstanding guides, Alpha enables students to explore profound interests while delivering remarkable academic results.

In this position, you will guide each family's experience from initial outreach through enrollment, ensuring that every touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, approachability, and excellence. You will manage day-to-day correspondence, organize impactful admissions events, and keep applicant data current to support sound decision-making.

If you excel in a dynamic, purpose-driven setting—where attentiveness, structure, and accuracy have a direct effect on family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid role provides both remote flexibility and consistent in-person participation at admissions activities.

What you will be doing

Manage and oversee the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, considerate, and polished correspondence with prospective families (both virtually and face-to-face)

Handle and monitor digital admissions documentation with outstanding precision

Work closely with Lead Guides to arrange student shadow day schedules

Ensure admissions platforms, records, and follow-up activities remain current and precise

What you will NOT be doing

  • Shape overall admissions strategy or render final acceptance decisions
  • Function in a strictly back-office capacity with no direct family contact
  • Work within a sluggish, heavily bureaucratic structure
  • Concentrate solely on cultivating relationships without rigorous execution and accountability

Key responsibilities

This role ensures that a smooth, high-conversion admissions process produces robust enrollment and family satisfaction across Alpha's campus locations.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Solid administrative and organizational capabilities; you are dependable and meticulous
  • High attention to detail and experience maintaining accurate applicant records or CRM data
  • Comfortable balancing remote work with in-person campus responsibilities
  • Able to adapt quickly and thrive in a dynamic, mission-driven environment
  • Authorized to work in the US and able to work in-person in either San Francisco; CA, Santa Barbara; CA or NYC; NY

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
