Admissions Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

NOTE: This position requires onsite presence in San Francisco, Santa Barbara, or NYC.

Alpha School is transforming the future of education. Combining AI-powered learning, mastery-based progression, and outstanding guides, Alpha enables students to explore deep passions while delivering exceptional academic results.

In this role, you'll guide each family's experience from initial inquiry through enrollment, ensuring every touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, warmth, and high standards. You'll manage day-to-day communications, organize impactful admissions events, and maintain precise applicant data that supports informed decision-making.

If you excel in a dynamic, purpose-driven setting—where responsiveness, attention to detail, and organization directly influence family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid role combines remote flexibility with consistent in-person participation at admissions activities.

What you will be doing

Manage and respond to the admissions inbox with timely, professional, and personalized communication to prospective families (both virtually and face-to-face)

Handle and monitor digital admissions documentation with rigorous attention to accuracy

Attend and support all admissions events, including information sessions, shadow days, and community gatherings, on campus and virtually

Work closely with Lead Guides to arrange student shadow day schedules

Maintain precise, current records and follow-up workflows in admissions systems

What you will NOT be doing

  • Set admissions policy or render final enrollment decisions
  • Perform exclusively administrative tasks without direct family engagement
  • Function within a slow-moving, heavily bureaucratic structure
  • Emphasize relationship development without rigorous execution and follow-through

Key responsibilities

This role ensures a smooth, high-conversion admissions journey that strengthens enrollment outcomes and family satisfaction at Alpha's campuses.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Proven administrative and organizational capabilities; you are dependable and precise
  • High attention to detail and demonstrated experience managing applicant records or CRM systems
  • Comfortable managing both remote responsibilities and in-person campus duties
  • Able to adjust quickly and succeed in a fast-paced, mission-driven culture
  • Authorized to work in the US and available to work onsite in San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; or NYC, NY

Nice to have

  • Experience in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Background in organizing admissions events or managing high-touch onboarding workflows
  • Familiarity with rapidly evolving, technology-enabled work environments
