Family Engagement Coordinator   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You are the person families remember when they choose where to enroll. From the moment they first reach out to their final decision, you define how Alpha feels, communicates, and fulfills its commitments. This role is designed for someone who understands that speed, precision, and care are not competing priorities—they are the baseline.

Alpha is transforming what education can look like. Our campuses integrate academic excellence, technology-driven instruction, and a coherent philosophy that honors both students and their families. Admissions is where that philosophy becomes tangible. Families arrive curious, uncertain, and optimistic. Your responsibility is to turn ambiguity into clarity.

In this position, you oversee the admissions journey once a family expresses interest. You will address family questions promptly and with professionalism, organize campus tours and shadow experiences, keep applicant records accurate and current, and facilitate meaningful discussions that help parents evaluate whether Alpha aligns with their child's needs. This is not a support function conducted in the background. You are client-facing, detail-oriented, and responsible for how families perceive Alpha.

This is an on-site, high-tempo role for someone who thrives when managing competing demands without sacrificing accuracy or personal connection. If you value strong execution, effective communication, and building experiences that feel effortless to those you serve, this position provides genuine ownership and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Addressing prospective family inquiries within 24 hours with communication that is clear, inviting, and consistent with Alpha's values
  • Organizing and delivering admissions events, campus tours, and student shadow days
  • Keeping applicant records precise and current across admissions platforms and CRM tools
  • Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's educational model, respond to concerns, and capture their input
  • Collaborating with campus and admissions teams to ensure each family progresses smoothly through the process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Rendering final admissions or enrollment decisions
  • Leading classroom instruction or contributing to day-to-day teaching
  • Relying on aggressive sales methods or inflexible scripts
  • Operating in an environment where expectations, standards, or direction are ambiguous

Key responsibilities

Create a high-trust, high-conversion admissions experience that supports families from initial inquiry through confident enrollment.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • At least 2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, or a family-facing operations role
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience using a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated data accuracy
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • Strong organizational skills and consistent attention to detail
  • Availability to work on-campus in Miami, FL, or willingness to relocate
  • Authorized to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or parent-facing programs
  • Comfort operating in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
