Learning Specialist   $60,000 USD/year

Description

If you think education should operate with more speed, intelligence, and real accountability, this position is designed for you.

2 Hour Learning condenses what conventional schools spread across a full day into concentrated, high-impact learning sessions. This approach succeeds only when academic decisions are accurate, prompt, and owned from start to finish. This role exists for precisely that purpose: transforming complex student data into clear, actionable steps and combining it with direct, high-trust student coaching that eliminates obstacles quickly.

You will operate at the convergence of analytics and interpersonal engagement. In one instance, you're examining performance metrics to detect risk early and support placement decisions with sound reasoning. In the next, you're working directly with a student, identifying confusion on the spot and helping them progress before minor issues escalate into genuine setbacks. This is not a passive data-reporting position. You are responsible for results.

This position is built for individuals who want to witness the impact of their decisions immediately. If you value ownership, enjoy direct student engagement, and take satisfaction in helping children learn twice as efficiently through better judgment, this environment will suit you well.

Apply if you want your contributions to matter within the week, not by semester's end.

What you will be doing

  • Examine student performance metrics to generate clear, actionable academic reports that enable prompt interventions
  • Take full accountability for academic results within your assigned student cohort, including placement, testing choices, and subsequent actions
  • Conduct rapid academic recovery sessions that pinpoint root causes and eliminate learning obstacles in the moment
  • Lead post-assessment coaching sessions to distinguish knowledge deficits from careless errors and assign focused next actions
  • Partner with academic leadership and parent support teams to escalate risk and refine tools or workflows

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating reports that remain unused and unactioned
  • Operating entirely in the background without any student contact
  • Transferring academic accountability to teachers, tutors, or families
  • Delivering generic tutoring sessions lacking clear diagnostic objectives
  • Delaying responses to emerging student challenges by weeks

Key responsibilities

Provide precise, timely academic analysis and direct student interventions that demonstrably accelerate learning outcomes for your assigned student groups.

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year in a coaching, instructional, or training position with documented results or feedback
  • At least 1 year of direct, hands-on experience working with K–8 students (occasional tutoring does not meet this requirement)
  • Proven background in data science, education, EdTech, or student support functions that blend analysis with interpersonal engagement
  • Fluent verbal and written communication in both Ukrainian and English
  • Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets, including lookups, filters, pivot tables, and visualization
  • High emotional intelligence with the capacity to establish trust rapidly with students and parents
  • Documented use of AI to analyze data or streamline workflows with measurable efficiency improvements
