Admissions Relationship Manager   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions focus on driving numbers. This one is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most rigorous school models. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and educators. Students routinely outpace national learning benchmarks, with results supported by measurable data. Afternoons are reserved for deeper exploration, independent work, and practical skill development. The model delivers. But success depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

That is your role.

You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, starting with the initial inquiry and continuing through onboarding. This is not a role where responsibilities are passed along. You are accountable for the family's experience with us, the clarity with which they grasp the model, and ensuring enrollment choices are made for sound reasons. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not maximizing numbers. The objective is ensuring alignment.

We welcome candidates with backgrounds in premium service settings beyond conventional education: independent schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership communities, or entrepreneur-operators who have directly overseen high-value client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a detailed, multi-phase process with sound judgment, precision, and reliable follow-through.

If your career has centered on delivering elevated service where trust, discretion, and experience quality define the brand, this position will resonate—applied here to work that genuinely improves outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are currently hiring in La Jolla, Los Angeles, Marin County, Palo Alto, Piedmont, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, South Bay. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial outreach through onboarding completion.
  • Facilitating discovery conversations to assess compatibility before offering recommendations or outlining subsequent steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family relationships across various enrollment phases, maintaining transparent tracking of progress and follow-up actions.
  • Facilitating campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment discussions that articulate outcomes, expectations, and the model's ideal fit.
  • Keeping precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, task prioritization, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional sales methods or high-pressure enrollment tactics.
  • Accepting families who are poorly matched in order to meet quotas.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or working through complex approval hierarchies.
  • Dividing responsibility for the family journey across multiple team members.
  • Operating remotely. This position is on-campus by design.

Key responsibilities

Own and deliver a high-trust, selective enrollment process that successfully converts aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and academic performance of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand perception (education, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or owner-operated service businesses).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family relationships across multiple stages, supported by a structured tracking and prioritization method.
  • Ability to share specific examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you advised against your offering when it was not the appropriate fit.
  • Professional written communication capability with senior executives, high-net-worth clients, or discerning stakeholders.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these markets: La Jolla, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Marin County, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; or South Bay, CA.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience with competitive private school admissions or selective program recruitment.
  • Background in high-end hospitality, VIP client services, or executive support functions.
  • Experience designing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion alignment, not merely velocity.
