Senior Admissions Advisor   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions focus on maximizing volume. This position focuses on upholding standards.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. Our campuses integrate rigorous academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and educators. Students consistently outpace national learning benchmarks—supported by measurable data. Afternoons are dedicated to deeper learning, independence, and the development of real-world competencies. The model delivers results. But success depends entirely on selecting the right families.

That's your responsibility.

You will manage the complete enrollment experience for a campus, beginning with the initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding. This is not a role where responsibility changes hands. You determine how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether enrollment choices reflect sound reasoning. You will evaluate alignment, facilitate informed discussions, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize numbers. The objective is to ensure fit.

We welcome candidates from high-end service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership organizations, or owner-operators who have directly overseen high-stakes client experiences from beginning to end. What counts is your capacity to execute a sophisticated, multi-phase process with sound judgment, precision, and accountability.

If your career has involved delivering exceptional service where trust, discretion, and experience quality are inseparable from the brand, this role will be recognizable—just directed toward work that genuinely transforms outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, in-person position. We are recruiting in Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Piedmont, Palm Beach, Charlotte, and Raleigh. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment pathway for prospective families, from initial outreach through successful onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-based discussions to assess alignment before proposing solutions or advancing to subsequent steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family relationships at varying stages of enrollment, maintaining full visibility into progress and required follow-ups.
  • Conducting campus tours, student shadow visits, and decision-making conversations that articulate outcomes, expectations, and ideal candidate profiles with clarity.
  • Keeping CRM and enrollment data (HubSpot and SIS) accurate and current to enable forecasting, prioritization, and sustained service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deploying transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Accepting families who are not aligned simply to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a large staff or navigating multi-layered approval hierarchies.
  • Transferring ownership of the family journey across multiple team members.
  • Operating remotely. This role is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver a high-trust, selective enrollment process that attracts and secures well-aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and effectiveness of the Alpha educational model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where quality of service directly influences brand reputation (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated service businesses).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial contact through final onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20+ client, guest, or family accounts simultaneously across different stages, supported by an effective tracking and prioritization system.
  • Ability to share specific examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you recommended against your own product or service due to poor fit.
  • Professional writing experience engaging with senior executives, high-net-worth individuals, or discerning clients.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of the following locations: Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; San Francisco, CA; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA; Palm Beach, FL; Charlotte, NC; or Raleigh, NC.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience with selective private school admissions or enrollment in competitive programs.
  • Background in luxury hospitality, VIP guest relations, or executive-level support functions.
  • Experience designing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service quality benchmarks.
  • Comfort leveraging CRM data and analytics to enhance conversion quality, not merely conversion speed.
