Admissions Coordinator   $100,000 USD/year

Description

As the first contact for families determining where their child's education will begin, you will shape their perception of Alpha through every interaction. Each email you craft, event you organize, and conversation you facilitate will influence whether a family chooses to enroll. This role requires someone who prioritizes accuracy, responsiveness, and authentic relationship-building, recognizing that trust develops through careful attention to detail.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking school models. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and educators. The admissions function is where this vision becomes tangible. Families seek more than basic information—they want clarity, assurance, and proof that Alpha offers something distinctly valuable.

In this capacity, you will oversee the complete journey for prospective families beginning with their initial inquiry. You will reply quickly and with care, arrange campus visits and shadow experiences, keep applicant information current and precise, and help parents understand Alpha's approach and assess fit with their priorities. This is a prominent, people-centered role where your work directly affects enrollment outcomes.

This is a high-volume, campus-based position in San Francisco for someone capable of handling multiple responsibilities with precision and attentiveness. If you value transparent communication, consistent follow-through, and empowering families to make informed decisions, this role provides considerable autonomy and meaningful influence.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to prospective family inquiries within 24 hours with clear, professional communication that reflects Alpha's standards
  • Organizing and delivering admissions events, campus tours, and student shadow visits including all logistics and follow-up activities
  • Ensuring all applicant records are accurate and comprehensive across CRM and admissions systems
  • Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's educational model, respond to concerns, and document key details
  • Working closely with campus and admissions team members to support a streamlined and effective admissions process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deciding which applicants are accepted or shaping enrollment policies
  • Delivering instruction or managing academic programming
  • Employing aggressive sales methods or following rigid scripts
  • Working in a loosely defined or slow-paced setting

Key responsibilities

Create a frictionless, high-impact admissions journey that converts early interest into committed enrollment, ensuring families feel well-informed, valued, and enthusiastic about becoming part of Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
