Admissions Associate   $100,000 USD/year

Description

You will serve as the primary contact for families evaluating where to begin their child's education. Each email, event, and interaction you facilitate will influence whether a family selects Alpha. This position suits someone who prioritizes accuracy, timely responses, and authentic relationship-building, recognizing that trust forms through careful attention to detail.

Alpha is constructing a school model of exceptional ambition. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. The admissions function is where this vision takes tangible form. Families seek more than basic details—they want transparency, assurance, and proof that Alpha delivers distinct, substantive value.

In this capacity, you will oversee the complete experience for prospective families beginning with their initial contact. You will reply promptly and with care, arrange campus visits and shadow opportunities, keep applicant information current and precise, and help parents understand Alpha's approach and its fit with their objectives. This is a prominent, people-centered role where you directly affect enrollment outcomes.

This is an on-campus position in San Francisco that moves quickly and requires someone capable of balancing several responsibilities with both precision and attention. If you excel at transparent communication, reliable execution, and supporting families in making sound decisions, this role provides substantial responsibility and influence.

What you will be doing

  • Replying to inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours with communication that is clear, professional, and consistent with Alpha's standards
  • Organizing and managing admissions events, campus visits, and student shadowing experiences from planning through follow-up after each visit
  • Keeping applicant records accurate and comprehensive across CRM systems and admissions tools
  • Conducting meetings with families to describe Alpha's educational model, respond to questions, and document key details
  • Working closely with campus staff and admissions team members to maintain a streamlined and effective admissions process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Making final decisions on admissions or setting enrollment policies
  • Delivering instruction or managing academic curriculum
  • Relying on aggressive sales methods or pre-written scripts for outreach
  • Working in an environment that lacks structure or moves at a slow pace

Key responsibilities

Create a frictionless, high-conversion admissions journey that moves families from initial curiosity to committed enrollment, ensuring they feel well-informed, valued, and eager to become part of Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
