Admissions Representative   $100,000 USD/year

Description

As the primary contact for families evaluating where to enroll their child, your communication, event management, and engagement will directly influence whether they select Alpha. This position is built for individuals who prioritize accuracy, timely responses, and authentic relationship-building, recognizing that family trust grows through consistent, careful execution.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking educational models. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and staff. Admissions serves as the gateway to that mission. Families seek more than data—they want transparency, assurance, and proof that Alpha delivers something distinctly valuable.

In this capacity, you will oversee the entire prospective family experience beginning with initial contact. You will deliver prompt and considerate responses, facilitate campus visits and shadow experiences, ensure applicant information remains current and precise, and help parents assess whether Alpha's approach matches their aspirations. This is a high-visibility, people-centered role where your work directly affects enrollment outcomes.

This is a dynamic, campus-based position in San Francisco suited for someone who handles competing demands with precision and intention. If you excel at transparent communication, reliable execution, and supporting families toward informed decisions, this role provides meaningful autonomy and measurable influence.

What you will be doing

  • Addressing inquiries from prospective families within 24 hours through professional, clear, and brand-consistent messaging
  • Coordinating and delivering admissions programming including campus tours, family events, and student shadow experiences from planning through follow-up
  • Ensuring applicant information is accurate and comprehensive across CRM tools and admissions systems
  • Conducting meetings with families to clarify Alpha's educational approach, respond to concerns, and document key observations
  • Partnering with campus staff and admissions team members to support a streamlined and effective enrollment process

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deciding which applicants are admitted or shaping admissions policy
  • Delivering instruction or managing academic content
  • Relying on aggressive selling techniques or standardized scripts
  • Working in a disorganized or slow-paced setting

Key responsibilities

Create a polished, high-impact admissions journey that converts early curiosity into committed enrollment, ensuring every family feels well-informed, valued, and enthusiastic about becoming part of Alpha.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • At least 1 year of professional written communication experience with families or customers
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a CRM, student information system, or comparable database with demonstrated attention to data accuracy
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco, CA
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience supporting admissions events or high-touch onboarding processes
  • Comfort working in fast-changing, tech-enabled environments
