What you will be doing
- Conducting adaptive reading workshops focused on phonics, comprehension, and fluency development
- Creating personalized motivational experiences using gamified literacy benchmarks
- Evaluating student performance data to improve instructional methods and generate actionable insights
- Partnering with engineers to assess and improve AI literacy platforms based on classroom outcomes
- Building scalable, AI-enhanced instructional content that helps early elementary students reach grade-level reading proficiency
What you will NOT be doing
- Delivering lectures at the front of a room — students engage with self-directed AI applications, not passive teaching
- Using a standardized curriculum or scripted lessons — you create your own workshop content from the ground up
- Teaching core academic subjects — your work centers on reading workshops and motivational coaching, not math or science instruction
- Managing behavior or supervising without purpose — each session has defined learning goals and measurable results
- Operating independently — you work closely with engineers who develop the AI tools your students interact with every day
Key responsibilities
Guarantee that every K-2 student in your group achieves at or above grade-level reading through AI-accelerated workshops that make phonics instruction engaging, quantifiable, and enjoyable
Candidate requirements
- Bachelor's degree plus either a Master's in reading instruction OR structured literacy certification (Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, IMSE, CERI, LETRS, Neuhaus, UFLI, or equivalent)
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (necessary for student and family communication)
- 2+ years conducting small-group reading interventions with early elementary students
- Capable of evaluating reading levels, organizing student groups, and creating differentiated instruction without relying on pre-written curricula
- Experienced with AI/adaptive learning platforms and attuned to student behavioral data
- Legal authorization to work in Puerto Rico without sponsorship
- Availability to work on-site in Dorado, Puerto Rico
