Director of Member Relations   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions prioritize throughput. This position exists to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the most ambitious educational models worldwide. Our campuses integrate rigorous academics, technology-driven instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely progress faster than national averages, supported by measurable evidence. Afternoons are reserved for depth, autonomy, and practical competency development. The model is effective. But effectiveness depends on enrolling the right families.

That's your function.

You will control the complete enrollment experience for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding. This is not a relay structure. You bear responsibility for how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether enrollment choices reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate substantive dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not enrollment maximization. The objective is mutual fit.

We welcome candidates from premium service backgrounds outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership entities, or entrepreneurs who have directly managed sophisticated client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a personalized, phased process with discernment, precision, and accountability.

If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experiential quality define the brand, this role will resonate—simply directed toward work that produces measurable impact.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are recruiting in Santa Barbara, Santa Monica, Orange County, Roswell, Chicago, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Dallas-Fort Worth. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Controlling the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial outreach through onboarding completion.
  • Facilitating diagnostic conversations to assess alignment before introducing solutions or proposing subsequent steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family relationships at varied enrollment phases, maintaining transparent status tracking and follow-up protocols.
  • Delivering campus tours, student shadow visits, and enrollment dialogues that articulate outcomes, standards, and the intended audience for the model.
  • Ensuring precision in CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deploying transactional or aggressive enrollment approaches.
  • Accepting families with poor alignment merely to satisfy quotas.
  • Supervising a sizable team or navigating complex hierarchical approvals.
  • Distributing ownership of family engagement across multiple personnel.
  • Operating remotely. This role is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver a high-confidence, high-selectivity enrollment process that attracts aligned families while safeguarding the credibility and outcomes of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service caliber directly influences brand standing (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated services).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment lifecycle from initial engagement through onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family accounts at varying stages, supported by an organized tracking and prioritization framework.
  • Ability to supply specific examples of advisory decision-making, including instances where you recommended against your product or service due to misalignment.
  • Professional written correspondence experience with senior leadership, high-net-worth clients, or discerning stakeholders.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of the following locations: Santa Barbara, CA; Santa Monica, CA; Orange County, CA; Roswell, GA; Chicago, IL; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; or Dallas-Fort Worth, TX.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment.
  • Background in high-end hospitality, VIP client services, or executive support functions.
  • Experience developing or enhancing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to elevate conversion alignment, not merely velocity.
