Admissions Representative   $40,000 USD/year

Description

This role is for someone who can earn a parent's trust within the first few minutes of a phone call. You will thrive here if outreach energizes you, if you follow up consistently, and if you can explain a new educational model confidently without leaning on a script. If you tend to avoid phone calls or prefer work without measurable outcomes, this position will not suit you.

Novatio School is a tuition-free, virtual public charter school that operates with a different educational structure. Students complete core academics in a concentrated time block with AI-supported learning, then dedicate the remainder of their day to real-world skill development through enrichment and projects. You will serve as the first significant contact for families considering this alternative.

Your week will include responding promptly to new inquiries, walking families through the admissions pathway, and converting early interest into completed enrollment. You will also attend and lead local events to generate leads and increase visibility in your area. During slower enrollment periods, you will support broader school operations while remaining prepared for the next intake cycle.

If you are looking for a position where your communication skills, accountability, and initiative directly shape student enrollment outcomes, we would like to speak with you.

What you will be doing

  • Reaching out to new inbound leads within 24 hours and starting the admissions conversation by phone
  • Describing Novatio School's virtual learning model and the enrollment process in straightforward, accessible terms
  • Maintaining steady follow-up to advance families from inquiry through application to final enrollment
  • Recording all interactions in a CRM with detailed notes, defined next steps, and updated pipeline status
  • Planning and hosting local recruitment events in Arizona or Texas to present the school and collect new leads

What you will NOT be doing

  • Allowing inbound leads to sit unaddressed while you handle administrative tasks
  • Reading from rigid scripts or functioning like a high-volume call center agent
  • Attending events without actively presenting or engaging potential families
  • Spending most of your time on back-office duties when enrollment activity is high

Key responsibilities

Turn new family interest into qualified, well-informed applicants who successfully enroll in Novatio School.

Candidate requirements

  • Located in Arizona or Texas and available to work in a hybrid capacity
  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service or a similar customer-facing position
  • Experience working directly with children or families (examples include schools, camps, childcare, tutoring, or comparable settings)
  • Comfortable with frequent phone outreach and guiding families through multi-step enrollment processes
  • Strong verbal communication ability with a talent for building trust quickly
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms or digital tools for tracking leads

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions, enrollment, inside sales, or lead qualification
  • Experience organizing or presenting at outreach programs or community events
  • Academic coursework or professional background in education, communications, or a related discipline
