Admissions Associate   $75,000 USD/year

Description

Alpha Waypoint is redefining the possibilities of education. Using an outdoor, experience-based approach, students develop independence, resilience, and practical competence while achieving strong academic results.

This position involves supporting families throughout the inquiry and enrollment journey, ensuring each touchpoint demonstrates clarity, responsiveness, and professionalism. You will handle daily communications, organize admissions activities, and keep precise records that enable sound decision-making. In this role, attention to detail and reliable execution are essential.

Your work will span both remote and on-site environments as you help families engage with a model that departs from conventional schooling. Your capacity to communicate effectively, maintain organization, and deliver a seamless, high-quality experience will have a direct effect on enrollment success and family confidence.

If you are exceptionally responsive, detail-focused, and accountable for results, this position provides an opportunity to support a mission-driven, growing school while strengthening your operational and communication expertise.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the admissions inbox, providing prompt, clear, and professional responses to prospective families
  • Support families throughout the admissions journey with consistent outreach and clearly defined next steps
  • Plan and implement admissions events, including information sessions, shadow day visits, and community gatherings
  • Collaborate with on-campus teams to arrange student visits and deliver a seamless family experience
  • Keep admissions records current and accurate, monitoring all applications and follow-up activities

What you will NOT be doing

  • Working exclusively in an administrative capacity with no direct family engagement
  • Functioning within a slow-moving or heavily bureaucratic structure
  • Concentrating solely on messaging without delivering strong operational follow-through
  • Shaping admissions strategy or issuing final enrollment approvals

Key responsibilities

Deliver a transparent, responsive, and efficiently managed admissions experience that strengthens enrollment outcomes and builds positive relationships with families.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing or operations-focused experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and experience managing records or CRM systems
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities
  • Comfortable balancing remote work with in-person event responsibilities
  • Authorized to work in the US and able to attend in-person campus events

Nice to have

  • Experience in admissions, education, or enrollment operations
  • Background supporting events or high-touch customer experiences
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Appreciation for outdoor, experiential, or non-traditional learning models, with the ability to communicate that value naturally to families
