Admissions Associate   $75,000 USD/year

Description

Alpha Waypoint is redefining what a school can be. With an outdoor, experience-based approach, students develop resilience, independence, and practical skills while achieving strong academic results.

As an Admissions Associate, you will support families throughout the entire enrollment journey—from initial contact to completed enrollment. Every exchange you manage will reflect professionalism, clarity, and responsiveness. You will handle ongoing communication, organize admissions activities, and keep detailed records that enable informed decision-making. Precision and consistent follow-through define this position.

Your work will span virtual platforms and on-site interactions, helping families grasp an educational model that differs significantly from conventional schools. Your capacity to convey information clearly, maintain structure, and deliver a seamless experience will have a direct effect on enrollment outcomes and the confidence families place in the school.

If you are responsive by nature, attentive to detail, and accountable for results, this position provides a chance to support a mission-driven, growing institution while strengthening your operational and interpersonal capabilities.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the admissions inbox with timely, professional, and clear responses to prospective families
  • Shepherd families through each stage of admissions with structured follow-up and clearly defined next steps
  • Plan and facilitate admissions events such as information sessions, shadow days, and community gatherings
  • Collaborate with campus personnel to arrange student visits and deliver a seamless on-site experience
  • Keep all admissions records current and accurate, tracking every application and point of contact

What you will NOT be doing

  • Working exclusively behind the scenes with no direct contact with families
  • Navigating a slow-moving or overly bureaucratic institutional structure
  • Focusing solely on messaging without demonstrating execution and accountability
  • Creating admissions strategy or making ultimate enrollment determinations

Key responsibilities

Deliver a clear, responsive, and professionally managed admissions process that drives strong enrollment and cultivates trust with families.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing or operations-focused experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and experience managing records or CRM systems
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities
  • Comfortable balancing remote work with in-person event responsibilities
  • Authorized to work in the US and able to attend in-person campus events

Nice to have

  • Experience in admissions, education, or enrollment operations
  • Background supporting events or high-touch customer experiences
  • Experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Appreciation for outdoor, experiential, or non-traditional learning models, with the ability to communicate that value naturally to families
