Admissions Associate   $75,000 USD/year

Description

Alpha Waypoint is redefining the school experience through an outdoor, experiential approach that builds student independence, resilience, and practical capability while delivering strong academic results.

This position places you at the center of the family journey—from initial contact to final enrollment. You will ensure that each touchpoint demonstrates clarity, professionalism, and timely follow-through. Daily responsibilities include managing inquiries, organizing admissions activities, and keeping enrollment data accurate and actionable. In this role, precision and accountability are essential.

Your work will span both remote and on-site environments as you help families navigate an educational model that breaks from conventional schooling. Strong communication skills, organizational discipline, and the ability to deliver a seamless experience will have a direct influence on enrollment success and family confidence.

If you are dependable, process-driven, and committed to delivering results, this opportunity allows you to play a key role in a mission-focused, growing institution while developing operational expertise and communication competencies.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee the admissions inbox, providing prompt, precise, and professional responses to prospective families
  • Shepherd families through each stage of the admissions journey with systematic follow-up and clearly defined next actions
  • Plan and facilitate admissions activities, such as information sessions, shadow visits, and community gatherings
  • Collaborate with on-campus personnel to arrange student visits and deliver a seamless arrival-to-departure experience
  • Keep admissions records current and accurate, monitoring all applications and touchpoints

What you will NOT be doing

  • Functioning in an exclusively administrative capacity with no direct family engagement
  • Navigating rigid or heavily layered bureaucratic processes
  • Concentrating solely on messaging without ensuring operational delivery and closure
  • Setting admissions policy or rendering final decisions on student acceptance

Key responsibilities

Deliver a transparent, efficient, and professionally managed admissions process that drives enrollment growth and cultivates trust among prospective families.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing or operations-focused experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and experience managing records or CRM systems
  • Ability to stay organized while managing multiple priorities
  • Comfortable balancing remote work with in-person event responsibilities
  • Authorized to work in the US and able to attend in-person campus events

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions, educational settings, or enrollment coordination
  • Prior involvement in event support or high-engagement customer service roles
  • Track record in dynamic, rapidly changing organizations
  • Understanding of outdoor, experiential, or alternative education philosophies, and the capacity to articulate their benefits authentically to families
