School Office Manager   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role at one of our campuses.

A well-functioning campus operates invisibly. A poorly run one disrupts everything. This position ensures Alpha campuses maintain consistency, safety, and operational confidence daily.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most ambitious education models. Our classrooms are fast-paced. Our expectations are rigorous. This demands campus operations that are disciplined, agile, and designed to scale. This role controls everything beyond the classroom that enables students and Guides to excel.

As the campus operational anchor, you handle parent and staff communication, direct safety and security protocols, maintain smooth facilities and logistics, and ensure technology functions reliably for all users. You respond when systems fail, identify problems before they grow, and introduce calm order into fluid environments.

This is not a limited coordination position. It is a hands-on, prominent role for someone who values responsibility, diversity of tasks, and execution. If you seek work where your choices directly impact student safety, staff performance, and parent confidence, this role delivers genuine ownership and accountability.

What you will be doing

  • Serving as a central contact for parents, students, and staff to deliver timely, clear, and professional communication
  • Directing campus safety operations including entry control, health events, emergency drills, record-keeping, and parent notifications
  • Managing daily campus logistics including attendance systems, transportation scheduling, facilities oversight, and office functions
  • Assisting with onboarding and orientation of new staff to guarantee operational preparedness from the start
  • Administering student devices and campus technology, functioning as the on-site Google Administrator and technology point person

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or influencing curriculum design
  • Functioning in a strictly administrative or narrowly defined capacity
  • Working within a slow-paced or highly routine environment
  • Escalating unresolved issues to others rather than owning solutions

Key responsibilities

Ensure safe, efficient, and dependable campus operations that continually enhance the experience of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • At least 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or similar operational roles
  • Comfort with basic technology tasks including device setup, troubleshooting, and account administration
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across parents, staff, and vendors
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be available to work in person in Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA, Chicago; IL or Fort Worth; TX
