Long-term role

Site Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

LOCATION NOTE: This is an in-person role located at one of our campuses.

A well-run campus is invisible. A poorly run one is felt by everyone. This position ensures that Alpha campuses function with reliability, safety, and precision—day in and day out.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious education models. Our classrooms operate at speed. Our expectations are rigorous. That demands campus operations that are disciplined, proactive, and designed to scale. This position is responsible for all non-instructional operations that enable students and Guides to excel.

As the Site Coordinator, you serve as the operational foundation of the campus. You handle parent and staff correspondence, manage safety and security protocols, maintain facility and logistical systems, and ensure that technology functions dependably for all users. You respond when systems fail, identify problems before they grow, and introduce structured calm into fast-moving environments.

This is not a traditional coordinator position. It is a hands-on, high-visibility role designed for someone who excels with responsibility, diversity of task, and execution. If you seek work where your judgment directly influences student safety, staff performance, and parent confidence, this role delivers genuine ownership and accountability.

What you will be doing

  • Serving as a central contact for parents, students, and staff to deliver timely, clear, and professional correspondence
  • Directing campus safety functions including access protocols, health response, emergency drills, record-keeping, and parent notifications
  • Supervising daily campus logistics including attendance systems, transportation arrangements, facility upkeep, and office functions
  • Assisting in onboarding and orientation of new personnel to ensure operational competency from the outset
  • Administering student devices and campus technology infrastructure, functioning as the on-site Google Administrator and technical resource

What you will NOT be doing

  • Delivering classroom instruction or providing academic support
  • Mentoring Guides or contributing to curriculum development
  • Functioning in a strictly administrative or narrowly defined capacity
  • Working within a slow-paced or entirely predictable setting
  • Escalating unresolved issues to others rather than owning resolution

Key responsibilities

Sustain safe, efficient, and dependable campus operations that continuously enhance the experience of students, staff, and parents.

Candidate requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (field of study not specified)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in office coordination, facilities support, site operations, or comparable operational functions
  • Proficiency with basic technology tasks including device configuration, troubleshooting, and account management
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities with parents, staff, and vendors
  • Capability to juggle competing priorities while preserving attention to detail
  • Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be available to work in person in Piedmont, CA; Palo Alto, CA, Chicago; IL or Fort Worth; TX
