Student Recruitment Coordinator   $75,000 USD/year

Description

NOTE: This position is onsite and requires your physical presence at one of three locations: San Francisco, Santa Barbara, or NYC.

Alpha School is transforming the landscape of education. By combining AI-powered learning, mastery-oriented advancement, and outstanding guides, Alpha enables students to explore profound interests while delivering exceptional academic results.

In this position, you will guide each family's experience from initial inquiry through final enrollment, ensuring that every touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, approachability, and excellence. You will manage day-to-day correspondence, organize impactful admissions events, and uphold precise applicant tracking that supports informed decision-making.

If you excel in dynamic, purpose-driven settings—where rapid response, meticulous organization, and accuracy directly influence family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid opportunity combines remote flexibility with consistent in-person participation at admissions activities.

What you will be doing

Take ownership of the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, considerate, and professional correspondence with prospective families (both virtually and face-to-face)

Handle and monitor digital admissions documentation with outstanding accuracy and care

Engage in all admissions events, such as information sessions, shadow days, and community gatherings, whether on campus or virtual

Work in close partnership with Lead Guides to arrange student shadow day visits

Maintain current and accurate admissions systems, documentation, and follow-up activities

What you will NOT be doing

  • Create admissions policy or render final enrollment decisions
  • Function exclusively in an administrative capacity without direct family engagement
  • Work within a slow-moving, overly bureaucratic structure
  • Concentrate solely on relationship development without robust operational execution

Key responsibilities

This position ensures that a smooth, high-performing admissions process generates strong enrollment results and family satisfaction throughout Alpha's campus network.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Proven administrative and organizational capabilities; you deliver consistently and with precision
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated experience maintaining accurate applicant records or CRM data
  • Comfortable navigating a hybrid model that blends remote work with in-person campus duties
  • Capable of adapting swiftly and excelling in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting
  • Authorized to work in the US and available to work in-person in either San Francisco, CA; Santa Barbara, CA; or NYC, NY

Nice to have

  • Experience in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Prior involvement in admissions events or high-touch onboarding workflows
  • Ease working in rapidly evolving, technology-driven environments
