Description

NOTE: This position is onsite and requires your physical presence in NYC.

Alpha School is transforming the landscape of education. By combining AI-powered learning, progression rooted in mastery, and outstanding guides, Alpha enables students to explore profound interests while delivering exceptional academic results.

In this position, you will guide each family's experience from initial outreach through enrollment, making certain that every touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, approachability, and academic excellence. You will manage day-to-day correspondence, orchestrate impactful admissions events, and keep applicant data precise to support sound decision-making.

If you excel in dynamic, purpose-driven settings—where responsiveness, meticulous organization, and accuracy shape family experience and enrollment success—this hybrid role combines remote flexibility with consistent in-person involvement at admissions activities.

What you will be doing

Take ownership of the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, considerate, and polished responses to prospective families (both virtually and face-to-face)

Manage and monitor digital admissions documentation with rigorous attention to accuracy

Attend all admissions events—including information sessions, shadow visits, and community gatherings—whether held on campus or online

Work closely with Lead Guides to arrange student shadow day experiences

Maintain current and precise admissions systems, records, and follow-up protocols

What you will NOT be doing

  • Shape overarching admissions strategy or render final acceptance decisions
  • Function exclusively in administrative tasks without direct family contact
  • Work within a rigid, process-heavy organizational structure
  • Emphasize relationship cultivation alone without disciplined execution and accountability

Key responsibilities

This position ensures that a frictionless, conversion-optimized admissions process fuels robust enrollment and family satisfaction throughout Alpha's campus network.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Proven administrative and organizational capabilities; you are dependable and meticulous
  • High attention to detail and demonstrated experience maintaining precise applicant records or CRM data
  • Comfortable managing a blend of remote work and in-person campus duties
  • Able to adjust rapidly and flourish in a fast-moving, mission-focused environment
  • Authorized to work in the US and available to work in-person in NYC; NY or willing to relocate

Nice to have

  • Background in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • Experience facilitating admissions events or personalized onboarding workflows
  • Comfort operating in rapidly evolving, technology-enabled settings
