Description

NOTE: This position requires in-person attendance at one of the following locations: San Francisco, Santa Barbara, or NYC.

Alpha School is transforming the landscape of education. With AI-powered learning tools, mastery-based advancement, and outstanding guides, Alpha enables students to explore profound interests while reaching exceptional academic milestones.

Your work in this role will define the family experience from initial inquiry through final enrollment, ensuring that every touchpoint embodies Alpha's precision, approachability, and high standards. You will manage day-to-day correspondence, organize engaging admissions events, and keep applicant data current and reliable to support sound decision-making.

If you excel in fast-moving, purpose-driven settings—where attentiveness, structure, and accuracy have a direct effect on family experience and enrollment outcomes—this hybrid role provides both remote flexibility and consistent on-site involvement during admissions activities.

What you will be doing

Take full ownership of the admissions inbox, delivering prompt, considerate, and polished responses to prospective families (both digitally and face-to-face)

Handle and monitor digital admissions documentation with meticulous care and precision

Attend all admissions-related activities, including information sessions, shadow visits, and community gatherings, whether held on campus or online

Work in close coordination with Lead Guides to arrange student shadow day schedules

Maintain admissions platforms, records, and follow-up workflows to ensure accuracy and timeliness

What you will NOT be doing

  • Develop admissions policy or render final enrollment decisions
  • Function solely in an operational capacity with no direct family engagement
  • Work within a sluggish or overly procedural institutional structure
  • Concentrate exclusively on relationship management without robust task execution

Key responsibilities

This role ensures that a smooth, high-conversion admissions process strengthens enrollment performance and family satisfaction at Alpha's campuses.

Candidate requirements

  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
  • Proven administrative and organizational capabilities; you are dependable and detail-focused
  • High attention to detail and demonstrated experience managing accurate applicant records or CRM data
  • Comfortable navigating a blend of remote work and on-campus responsibilities
  • Able to adjust quickly and succeed in a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment
  • Authorized to work in the US and available to work on-site in either San Francisco; CA, Santa Barbara; CA or NYC; NY

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in education, enrollment management, or school operations
  • History of facilitating admissions events or personalized onboarding experiences
  • Ease working in rapidly evolving, technology-enhanced environments
