Director of Member Services   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions prioritize volume. This position exists to uphold standards.

Alpha is developing one of the most rigorous school models globally. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled learning, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely achieve learning velocities that exceed national benchmarks, supported by measurable data. Afternoons are allocated to deeper exploration, self-directed work, and practical competency development. The model delivers results. However, it requires the right family partnerships.

This is your mandate.

You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and concluding with onboarding. This is not a role involving handoffs. You are accountable for the family experience, the clarity with which they comprehend the model, and whether enrollment decisions reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate purposeful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize headcount. The objective is to ensure fit.

We welcome candidates from high-caliber service backgrounds outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive admissions programs, premium hospitality, senior-level administrative support, exclusive membership platforms, or entrepreneurial operators who have directly overseen high-stakes client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a detailed, multi-phase process with sound judgment, transparency, and reliability.

If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where trust, professionalism, and experiential quality define brand identity, this role will be recognizable territory—applied to work that meaningfully shifts outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are recruiting in Seattle and Park City. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial outreach through onboarding completion.
  • Facilitating exploratory conversations to assess alignment before introducing solutions or advising on next actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varying enrollment stages, maintaining transparent tracking and timely follow-up.
  • Delivering campus tours, shadowing opportunities, and enrollment dialogues that articulate outcomes, expectations, and the intended audience for the model.
  • Ensuring precision in CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methods.
  • Admitting families who lack alignment simply to meet quotas.
  • Supervising a sizable team or working through complex hierarchical structures.
  • Distributing family experience accountability across multiple individuals.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-located.

Key responsibilities

Own and deliver a high-caliber, selective enrollment process that attracts well-aligned families while safeguarding the fidelity and outcomes of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand perception (education, upscale hospitality, executive administration, exclusive membership organizations, or independently operated service businesses).
  • Proven responsibility for a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial inquiry through final onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at various stages, supported by a structured tracking and prioritization approach.
  • Capacity to share specific instances of advisory decision-making, including occasions when you counseled against your own offering due to misalignment.
  • Professional experience composing correspondence for senior leaders, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Seattle, WA, or Park City, UT.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive independent school admissions or selective program recruitment.
  • Background in upscale hospitality, VIP client services, or senior executive support.
  • Experience developing or optimizing enrollment workflows, operating procedures, or service frameworks.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment alignment, not merely throughput.
