Director of Membership   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most enrollment positions prioritize volume. This one prioritizes integrity.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. Our campuses integrate rigorous academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely exceed national learning benchmarks, supported by verifiable data. Afternoons are dedicated to depth, autonomy, and practical skill development. The model is proven. But success depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is your mandate.

You will oversee the complete enrollment experience for a campus, from initial inquiry to final onboarding. There are no handoffs. You are accountable for how families perceive us, how well they grasp the model, and whether enrollment decisions reflect genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate substantive discussions, and recommend against enrollment when warranted. The objective is not enrollment maximization. The objective is mission alignment.

We welcome candidates from premium service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, high-end hospitality, executive concierge services, exclusive membership organizations, or entrepreneurs who have personally directed high-value client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to deliver a high-touch, multi-phase process with discernment, precision, and accountability.

If your career has been defined by white-glove service where trust, discretion, and experience quality constitute the brand promise, this role will resonate—except here, the work produces measurable outcomes for children.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are currently hiring in Seattle and Park City. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Overseeing the complete enrollment process for prospective families, from initial outreach through final onboarding.
  • Leading exploratory conversations to assess compatibility before proposing solutions or advancing families to the next stage.
  • Juggling 20+ concurrent family engagements across various phases of the enrollment funnel, with complete transparency into progress and follow-up requirements.
  • Facilitating campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment decision meetings that articulate outcomes, expectations, and ideal candidate profiles with clarity.
  • Ensuring CRM accuracy and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deploying transactional or aggressive enrollment tactics.
  • Accepting families who lack alignment in order to meet quotas.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or navigating multi-tiered approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing ownership of the family journey across multiple roles.
  • Operating remotely. This role is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Design and execute a high-trust, highly selective enrollment process that attracts mission-aligned families while safeguarding the standards and outcomes of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly shapes brand perception (education, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium memberships, or owner-managed client services).
  • Proven responsibility for a complete client, admissions, or enrollment lifecycle from initial contact through successful onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently stewarding 20+ client, guest, or family relationships across multiple stages, supported by a structured tracking and prioritization approach.
  • Capacity to offer specific examples of consultative judgment, including instances where you advised against your own offering when alignment was absent.
  • Professional correspondence experience with senior executives, high-net-worth clients, or discerning stakeholders.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to Seattle, WA, or Park City, UT.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in selective private school admissions or enrollment for competitive programs.
  • Experience in luxury hospitality, VIP concierge services, or executive-level client support.
  • Track record designing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion quality, not merely velocity.
