Head of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions prioritize enrollment numbers. This position exists to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. Our campuses integrate rigorous academics, technology-enabled learning, and elevated expectations for students and faculty. Students routinely outpace national learning benchmarks—the data confirms this. Afternoons are reclaimed for depth, autonomy, and practical skill development. The model functions. But it functions only when the right families participate. That's your role.

You will manage the complete admissions experience for a campus, from initial application to final enrollment. This is not a role where you hand families off to others. You own how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether enrollment decisions are made with appropriate understanding. You will evaluate fit, facilitate thoughtful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when that is the correct course. The objective is not maximizing enrollment. The objective is alignment.

We welcome candidates from premium service sectors outside traditional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership organizations, or owner-operators who have personally directed high-value client experiences from start to finish. What matters is your capacity to execute a high-touch, multi-phase process with sound judgment, clarity, and consistent follow-through. If you have built your career delivering white-glove service where trust, discretion, and experience quality define the brand, this role will be recognizable. Apply now to bring that standard to meaningful work.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, from initial contact through final onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-assessment discussions to evaluate fit prior to presenting solutions or advising on next steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family relationships at varying enrollment stages, with transparent tracking of status and follow-up actions.
  • Directing campus tours, shadow day experiences, and decision-making conversations that clearly articulate outcomes, expectations, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Sustaining accurate CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and consistent service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Applying transactional or high-pressure sales methods.
  • Admitting families who are poorly aligned in order to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a large team or navigating complex approval hierarchies.
  • Handing off ownership of the family journey to multiple other roles.
  • Operating remotely. This role is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Execute and own a high-trust, highly selective enrollment process that successfully enrolls aligned families while safeguarding the integrity and effectiveness of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service quality directly influences brand reputation (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated services).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family relationships at various stages, supported by a reliable tracking and prioritization system.
  • Capacity to furnish concrete examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you recommended against your product or service when alignment was poor.
  • Professional written communication experience with senior executives, high-net-worth individuals, or discerning clients.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of the following locations: Denver, CO; or Park City, UT.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in selective private school admissions or enrollment for competitive programs.
  • Background in luxury hospitality, VIP guest services, or executive support functions.
  • Experience developing or refining enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service standards.
  • Comfort leveraging data and CRM insights to enhance conversion quality, not merely conversion speed.
