Director of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

This enrollment role is not designed to maximize volume. It is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing a school model of exceptional ambition. Our campuses integrate rigorous academics, technology-enabled learning, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. Students advance more quickly than national benchmarks, and performance data confirms it. Afternoons are reserved for depth, independence, and practical skill development. The model delivers results. But those results depend on enrolling the right families. That responsibility belongs to you.

You will lead the admissions process for a campus, from initial application to final enrollment. This is not a coordinating role. You are accountable for the family experience, for how thoroughly they grasp the model, and for ensuring enrollment decisions are made with full clarity. You will evaluate alignment, facilitate purposeful dialogue, and recommend against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not filling seats. The objective is ensuring fit.

We welcome candidates from high-caliber service environments outside of traditional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership organizations, or owner-operators who have personally overseen high-value client experiences from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a sophisticated, multi-phase process with sound judgment, transparency, and accountability. If your career has been defined by delivering white-glove service where trust, discretion, and experience quality represent the brand, this role will be recognizable. Apply now to apply that standard to meaningful work.

What you will be doing

  • Leading the complete enrollment process for prospective families, from initial inquiry to onboarding.
  • Facilitating needs-based conversations to assess alignment before recommending solutions or next actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ active family relationships across various enrollment stages, with transparent tracking of status and next steps.
  • Conducting campus tours, shadow day experiences, and decision-stage discussions that articulate outcomes, expectations, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Keeping CRM and enrollment records (HubSpot and SIS) current and accurate to enable forecasting, prioritization, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Applying transactional or aggressive sales techniques.
  • Enrolling families who lack alignment in order to meet quotas.
  • Supervising a large team or operating within complex approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing ownership of the family journey across multiple functions.
  • Working remotely. This is an on-campus role by intention.

Key responsibilities

Own and deliver a high-trust, highly selective enrollment process that secures the right families while safeguarding the integrity and outcomes of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, personalized service in contexts where service excellence directly shapes brand perception (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated services).
  • Proven ownership of a full-cycle client, admissions, or enrollment experience from initial contact through onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family relationships at varying stages, supported by a clear tracking and prioritization method.
  • Ability to share specific examples of consultative judgment, including instances where you advised against your product or service due to poor fit.
  • Professional written communication background with senior executives, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these markets: Denver, CO; or Park City, UT.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in selective private school admissions or competitive program recruitment.
  • Background in luxury hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level support.
  • Experience developing or refining enrollment workflows, SOPs, or service protocols.
  • Comfort leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance conversion quality, not simply conversion speed.
