Director of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions prioritize volume. This role is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is developing one of the world's most ambitious educational models. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and faculty. Students routinely achieve learning velocities that exceed national norms, supported by measurable evidence. Afternoons are reserved for depth work, self-directed learning, and applied skill development. The model delivers results. But success depends entirely on enrolling families who align with our approach.

This is your mandate.

You will control the complete enrollment experience for a campus, beginning with initial inquiries and continuing through final onboarding. This is not a role with handoffs. You determine how families perceive us, how thoroughly they comprehend the educational model, and whether enrollment decisions stem from genuine alignment. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate substantive dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. Maximum enrollment is not the objective. Alignment is.

We welcome applicants from premium service sectors outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive admissions programs, luxury hospitality, executive assistance, premium membership services, or owner-operators with direct experience managing high-stakes client relationships from inception to completion. What counts is your capacity to operate a nuanced, multi-phase process with sound judgment, communication clarity, and operational discipline.

If your professional background centers on delivering exceptional service where trust, professionalism, and experience quality constitute the brand promise, this role will be intuitive—simply applied to work that produces measurable impact.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are currently hiring for Seattle and Park City. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Directing the complete enrollment process for prospective families, spanning initial outreach through final onboarding.
  • Facilitating discovery conversations to evaluate alignment before offering solutions or advising on subsequent actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements at varying stages of enrollment, maintaining comprehensive tracking and follow-up protocols.
  • Guiding campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment discussions that articulate outcomes, expectations, and ideal-fit criteria with precision.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation in CRM and enrollment systems (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, strategic prioritization, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales methodologies.
  • Accepting families who lack alignment in order to satisfy enrollment targets.
  • Supervising a sizable team or working within complex hierarchical approval structures.
  • Distributing ownership of family engagement across multiple departments or individuals.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-centered.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a relationship-driven, standards-focused enrollment process that secures well-matched families while safeguarding the operational integrity and academic outcomes of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing high-touch, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly influences brand perception (education, luxury hospitality, executive support, premium membership, or owner-operated enterprises).
  • Proven ownership of full-cycle client, admissions, or enrollment processes spanning initial contact through final onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family relationships across multiple lifecycle stages, supported by a structured tracking methodology.
  • Capacity to share specific examples of consultative judgment, including occasions when you advised clients against proceeding due to misalignment.
  • Professional-level written communication with senior leaders, affluent individuals, or discerning clients.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to Seattle, WA, or Park City, UT.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or selective program enrollment operations.
  • Professional background in luxury hospitality, VIP concierge services, or executive-level client support.
  • Experience developing or optimizing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service delivery frameworks.
  • Proficiency leveraging CRM data and analytics to enhance enrollment alignment and decision quality, not merely processing speed.
