Director of Enrollment   $200,000 USD/year

Description

In most enrollment positions, the emphasis is on maximizing numbers. This role prioritizes maintaining quality and fit.

Alpha is constructing one of the most forward-thinking educational models worldwide. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students routinely advance academically beyond national averages, supported by measurable evidence. Afternoons are reserved for deeper exploration, self-directed work, and practical competency development. The approach is effective. However, effectiveness depends entirely on enrolling families who align with our philosophy.

This is your responsibility.

You will manage the complete enrollment process for a campus location, beginning with initial interest and concluding with family onboarding. This is not a role with distributed accountability. You bear direct responsibility for the family's experience, their comprehension of our educational approach, and ensuring enrollment choices are grounded in appropriate reasoning. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when circumstances warrant it. Success is not defined by enrollment volume. Success is defined by strategic alignment.

We welcome applicants from premium client service backgrounds outside conventional education settings: independent schools, competitive admissions programs, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, elite membership communities, or entrepreneurial operators who have directly overseen premium client experiences from beginning to end. The critical factor is your capability to execute a detailed, phased engagement with sound judgment, transparent communication, and reliable execution.

If your professional background centers on delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and client experience shape brand identity, you will find this role intuitive—simply directed toward work that produces measurable impact.

This is a salaried, full-time, on-site position. Current openings are in Seattle and Park City. Support for relocation is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the entire enrollment pathway for prospective families, starting with their first inquiry and extending through completed onboarding.
  • Facilitating assessment-focused discussions to evaluate compatibility before introducing program details or advising on subsequent actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varying enrollment phases, maintaining transparent tracking of progression and scheduled follow-ups.
  • Directing campus visits, student observation sessions, and enrollment decision dialogues that articulate program results, behavioral expectations, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Ensuring precise CRM documentation and enrollment data integrity (via HubSpot and student information systems) to enable forecasting accuracy, workload prioritization, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional enrollment approaches or aggressive conversion methods.
  • Accepting families whose values or expectations conflict with the model merely to achieve quantitative targets.
  • Supervising staff or navigating complex organizational hierarchies.
  • Distributing responsibility for family engagement across multiple team members.
  • Performing this work remotely. The position requires physical campus presence.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a relationship-driven, quality-focused enrollment process that successfully enrolls families whose values and expectations align with Alpha's model, while safeguarding the educational integrity and student outcomes that define our approach.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing personalized, premium-tier service in settings where client experience quality directly influences organizational reputation (including education, upscale hospitality, executive-level assistance, exclusive memberships, or independently managed service businesses).
  • Proven track record of managing a complete client, admissions, or enrollment lifecycle independently from initial engagement through final onboarding.
  • Experience coordinating 20+ active client, guest, or family accounts concurrently across multiple engagement stages, supported by an organized tracking and prioritization methodology.
  • Capacity to present specific instances of consultative advising, including situations where you recommended against engagement when alignment was insufficient.
  • Professional-level written correspondence experience with C-suite executives, affluent clientele, or discerning stakeholders.
  • Availability to reside in or relocate within 60 days to Seattle, WA, or Park City, UT.
  • Legal authorization for employment in the United States without requirement for visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience conducting admissions for selective independent schools or managing enrollment for competitive educational programs.
  • Professional history in premium hospitality sectors, VIP client services, or executive support capacities.
  • Track record designing or enhancing enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service delivery protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data analytics and CRM platforms to enhance enrollment alignment and decision quality rather than merely accelerating volume.
