Director of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Unlike most enrollment positions that prioritize volume, this role is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is constructing one of the world's most forward-thinking school models. Our campuses integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled learning, and elevated expectations for both students and staff. Students routinely exceed national learning benchmarks, supported by measurable data. Afternoons are dedicated to deeper exploration, independent work, and practical skill development. The model delivers results. But success depends entirely on enrolling the right families.

This is your responsibility.

You will manage the complete enrollment experience for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and continuing through onboarding. This is not a role where responsibilities are divided. You own how families perceive us, how well they grasp the model, and whether enrollment choices are made with full understanding. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful discussions, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize numbers. The objective is to ensure alignment.

We welcome candidates from high-touch service backgrounds outside conventional education: selective private schools, competitive programs, premium hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or entrepreneurs who have directly managed valuable client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a sophisticated, multi-phase process with sound judgment, precision, and consistent follow-through.

If your career has centered on delivering exceptional service where trust, professionalism, and experience quality are brand-defining, this role will translate naturally—now applied to work that produces measurable impact.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-campus position. We are hiring in Houston, Southlake, Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Nashville, and Chicago. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Managing the complete enrollment process for prospective families, from initial contact to final onboarding.
  • Facilitating discovery conversations to evaluate alignment before offering recommendations or outlining next steps.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family relationships across varying stages of the enrollment cycle, with full transparency on progress and follow-up cadence.
  • Guiding campus tours, student shadow days, and enrollment discussions that clearly articulate results, expectations, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Keeping CRM systems and enrollment data (HubSpot and SIS) current and accurate to enable forecasting, priority setting, and service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional or aggressive sales approaches.
  • Accepting families who do not align with the model just to meet quotas.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or navigating complex approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing family experience ownership across multiple roles.
  • Operating remotely. This position is on-site by intention.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a high-integrity, selective enrollment process that attracts and converts aligned families while safeguarding the quality and results of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing high-touch, customized service in settings where service excellence directly shapes brand perception (education, premium hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership, or owner-managed service businesses).
  • Proven ownership of a complete client, admissions, or enrollment experience from initial outreach through final onboarding.
  • Experience managing 20+ client, guest, or family interactions concurrently across multiple stages, supported by a reliable tracking and prioritization method.
  • Ability to share specific instances of consultative judgment, including advising against your offering when it was not an appropriate match.
  • Professional-level written communication with senior executives, high-net-worth clients, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Houston, TX, Southlake, TX, Tulsa, OK, Oklahoma City, OK, Nashville, TN, or Chicago, IL.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive private school admissions or enrollment for selective programs.
  • Background in premium hospitality, VIP client services, or executive support.
  • Experience designing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service benchmarks.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM tools to enhance enrollment quality, not simply volume.
