Long-term role

Director of Admissions and Enrollment   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Enrollment in this role is not about maximizing numbers. It is about safeguarding institutional standards.

Alpha is constructing a school model of exceptional ambition. Each campus integrates academically demanding curricula, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students advance more quickly than national performance averages, with measurable outcomes to substantiate it. Afternoons are dedicated to deeper exploration, autonomous work, and the cultivation of practical competencies. The model delivers results. Its success, however, depends entirely on the right family partnerships. That is your responsibility.

You will direct the complete admissions process for a campus, spanning initial inquiry through final enrollment. This is not a role defined by delegation. You are accountable for the quality of each family's interaction with us, the clarity with which they comprehend our model, and the soundness of their enrollment decision. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate deliberate dialogue, and advise against admission when circumstances warrant it. The objective is not volume. The objective is strategic alignment.

We welcome candidates whose backgrounds include premium service delivery outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive admission programs, high-end hospitality, executive coordination, exclusive membership entities, or entrepreneurial leaders who have directly stewarded complex client engagements from beginning to end. What is essential is your capacity to execute a sophisticated, multi-phase process with discernment, precision, and accountability. If your career has been defined by delivering exceptional experiences where credibility, confidentiality, and service excellence shape the brand, this opportunity will resonate. Apply now to extend that caliber of work to a mission that matters.

What you will be doing

  • Directing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, beginning with initial outreach and concluding with onboarding.
  • Facilitating diagnostic conversations to evaluate alignment before proposing pathways or advising on subsequent actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across varied enrollment phases, maintaining full transparency on progression and next steps.
  • Guiding campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment discussions that articulate results, expectations, and the intended audience for the model.
  • Ensuring precision in CRM documentation and enrollment data (HubSpot and SIS) to enable forecasting, prioritization, and sustained service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Deploying transactional sales methods or high-pressure enrollment tactics.
  • Admitting families whose values or expectations conflict with the model in order to meet targets.
  • Overseeing large teams or navigating complex hierarchical structures.
  • Distributing responsibility for the family experience across multiple stakeholders.
  • Performing this work remotely. The role is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Execute and manage a high-caliber, selective enrollment process that secures families aligned with Alpha's mission while preserving the integrity and academic performance standards of the model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where the quality of service directly influences brand perception (education, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or owner-led service ventures).
  • Proven ownership of a full-cycle client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial engagement through integration.
  • Track record managing 20+ concurrent client, guest, or family relationships at varying stages, supported by a structured approach to tracking and follow-up.
  • Capacity to present specific instances of consultative judgment, including occasions when you advised against your offering because it was not the appropriate match.
  • Professional-level written correspondence experience with C-suite executives, high-net-worth clientele, or discerning stakeholders.
  • Readiness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Greenwich, CT; Boca Raton, FL; Atlanta, GA; or Boston, MA.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in competitive independent school admissions or selective program recruitment.
  • History in premium hospitality, VIP client services, or senior executive support functions.
  • Involvement in designing or improving enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment quality, not merely throughput.
