Head of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

In most enrollment positions, the focus is on processing numbers. This role is designed to uphold standards.

Alpha is developing one of the most forward-looking school frameworks in operation today. Our locations integrate demanding academics, technology-enabled instruction, and elevated expectations for both learners and educators. Students routinely advance at rates that exceed national norms, supported by measurable evidence. Afternoon hours are dedicated to exploration, autonomy, and the development of practical competencies. The model delivers results. But sustained success depends on enrolling the right families. Your responsibility begins here.

You will manage the entire admissions process for a campus—from initial inquiry to final enrollment. This is not a role defined by delegation. You are accountable for the quality of the family experience, the clarity with which they grasp the educational model, and the soundness of enrollment decisions. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate informed dialogue, and recommend against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not to maximize headcount. The objective is to achieve alignment.

We welcome applicants with experience in premium service settings outside of conventional education: selective independent schools, competitive academic programs, high-end hospitality, executive concierge services, exclusive membership platforms, or entrepreneurs who have directly overseen high-value client relationships from start to finish. What counts is your capacity to execute a detail-oriented, multi-phase process with sound judgment, transparency, and consistency. If your career has revolved around providing exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experience quality shape the brand identity, this position will resonate. Apply today to bring that caliber of work to a mission that matters.

What you will be doing

  • Taking full ownership of the enrollment pathway for prospective families, beginning with initial outreach and concluding with onboarding.
  • Facilitating diagnostic discussions to assess alignment before introducing options or advising on subsequent actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements across various phases of the enrollment funnel, with systematic tracking of progress and follow-up timing.
  • Directing campus visits, student shadow days, and enrollment decision meetings that transparently convey learning outcomes, behavioral expectations, and ideal candidate profiles.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and student information system data (HubSpot and SIS) to enable reliable forecasting, strategic prioritization, and consistent service delivery.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Applying transactional or aggressive conversion strategies.
  • Accepting families who represent a poor fit in order to satisfy enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing a sizable team or operating within complex hierarchical approval structures.
  • Handing off accountability for the family journey to other team members.
  • Performing the role remotely. This position requires on-campus presence.

Key responsibilities

Lead and deliver a trust-centered, highly selective enrollment process that secures the right families while safeguarding the quality and outcomes of the Alpha educational model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, customized service in settings where the quality of service directly influences brand perception (education, high-end hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or independently operated service businesses).
  • Proven responsibility for managing a complete client, admissions, or enrollment experience from initial engagement through final onboarding.
  • Track record of concurrently stewarding 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at varying stages, supported by a reliable method for monitoring and prioritizing activity.
  • Capacity to share specific instances of advisory decision-making, including occasions when you counseled against your offering because it was not an appropriate match.
  • Professional-level written communication with senior leaders, affluent clients, or discerning stakeholders.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these regions: Chicago, IL, Nashville, TN, Oklahoma City, OK, Tulsa, OK, or Southlake, TX.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Background in admissions for selective independent schools or enrollment for competitive educational programs.
  • Prior roles in luxury hospitality, VIP client services, or executive-level administrative support.
  • Experience designing or refining enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service quality benchmarks.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment fit, not merely throughput.
