Head of Admissions   $200,000 USD/year

Description

Most admissions positions focus on maximizing numbers. This position exists to safeguard quality.

Alpha is constructing one of the most forward-thinking educational models globally. Our locations combine demanding academic standards, technology-enhanced instruction, and elevated expectations for both students and educators. Students routinely advance faster than national averages, supported by measurable evidence. Afternoons are reserved for deeper exploration, self-directed learning, and practical competency development. This approach delivers results. But success depends entirely on enrolling families who are genuinely aligned.

That is your responsibility.

You will direct the complete enrollment process for a campus, beginning with initial inquiry and continuing through final onboarding. This is not a role where you hand off responsibilities. You determine how families perceive us, how thoroughly they grasp the model, and whether enrollment choices are made with clear understanding. You will evaluate compatibility, facilitate meaningful dialogue, and advise against enrollment when appropriate. The objective is not filling seats. The objective is ensuring proper fit.

We welcome applicants from elite service backgrounds outside conventional education: independent schools, competitive programs, upscale hospitality, senior-level support, premium membership communities, or entrepreneurs who have directly overseen high-stakes client experiences from beginning to end. What counts is your capacity to execute a detailed, multi-phase process with sound judgment, transparency, and consistent follow-through.

If your professional background involves delivering exceptional service where credibility, confidentiality, and experience caliber define the brand identity, this position will be recognizable—simply directed toward work that meaningfully influences outcomes.

This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. We are currently hiring in Greenwich, Boca Ratan, Palm Beach, Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Raleigh, and Chantilly. Relocation assistance is provided.

What you will be doing

  • Directing the complete enrollment experience for prospective families, spanning initial outreach through final onboarding.
  • Facilitating consultative discussions to evaluate compatibility before proposing pathways or advising on subsequent actions.
  • Overseeing 20+ concurrent family engagements at varying phases of enrollment, maintaining transparent tracking of progress and follow-up requirements.
  • Guiding campus visits, student shadowing sessions, and enrollment conversations that articulate results, standards, and ideal candidate profiles with clarity.
  • Ensuring precise CRM and enrollment documentation (HubSpot and SIS) to enable accurate forecasting, effective prioritization, and sustained service excellence.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Employing transactional methods or aggressive sales pressure.
  • Accepting families with poor alignment solely to meet enrollment targets.
  • Overseeing large teams or navigating complex approval hierarchies.
  • Distributing responsibility for the family journey across multiple staff members.
  • Operating remotely. This position is intentionally campus-based.

Key responsibilities

Design and deliver a trust-centered, selective enrollment process that attracts aligned families while preserving the integrity and educational outcomes of the Alpha model.

Candidate requirements

  • 3+ years providing premium, individualized service in settings where service excellence directly shapes brand perception (education, upscale hospitality, executive assistance, exclusive membership organizations, or independently operated services).
  • Proven responsibility for a complete client, admissions, or enrollment process from initial engagement through onboarding completion.
  • Experience concurrently managing 20+ client, guest, or family accounts at various stages, supported by a structured approach to tracking and prioritization.
  • Ability to supply specific examples of consultative decision-making, including instances where you advised against your offering when alignment was absent.
  • Professional written communication experience engaging senior leadership, high-net-worth clientele, or discerning audiences.
  • Willingness to reside in or relocate within 60 days to one of these locations: Greenwich, CT; Boca Ratan, FL; Palm Beach, FL; Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Charlotte, NC; Raleigh, NC; or Chantilly, VA.
  • Work authorization in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Experience in competitive independent school admissions or selective program enrollment management.
  • Background in upscale hospitality, VIP concierge services, or executive support functions.
  • Experience developing or refining enrollment workflows, standard operating procedures, or service protocols.
  • Proficiency leveraging data and CRM analytics to enhance enrollment quality, not merely enrollment speed.
