Full Stack Engineer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

We're looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who excels at tackling complex problems and shipping high-impact features. You'll contribute to AI-powered products that reshape how individuals learn and develop. Your focus will be on delivering quality execution while maintaining scalability, maintainability, and meaningful impact.

The products you'll contribute to are redefining education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-inspired learning platform.
  • TeachTales: Captivates students through personalized, immersive storytelling that enhances understanding.
  • TimeBack: Functions as an intelligent learning companion that connects with existing applications to actively guide students.
  • Athena: Employs AI-generated video content and assessments to produce quantifiable learning results.

This position centers on creating tangible impact through functional software. You'll leverage AI tools and cloud-native platforms to construct full-stack solutions that address substantive challenges, not merely complete task lists. You'll be required to deliver quickly while maintaining quality, selecting the most straightforward correct approach that harmonizes immediate velocity with future sustainability.

If you're prepared to address sophisticated technical problems and produce meaningful features, we want to connect with you.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and Deploy Full-Stack Capabilities: Drive user stories from concept to delivery; define requirements, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, conduct comprehensive testing, and release to production
  • Identify and Resolve Defects: Analyze issues using root cause methodology, address underlying problems (rather than surface symptoms), and prevent future regressions through strategic testing
  • Elevate Code Standards: Assess plans and pull requests to verify clarity, simplicity, and accuracy, preventing technical debt at the source

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backend systems purely for complexity's sake
  • Executing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying problem
  • Spending time in prolonged meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or tracking down stakeholders
  • Simply delivering features; you'll be accountable for resolving genuine problems

Key responsibilities

  • Applying AI to develop software that addresses authentic user needs, ships rapidly, and remains maintainable over time

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience developing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework).
  • Proven ownership: Documented experience taking full responsibility for complete modules, product features, or teams, beyond isolated task contributions
  • Self-directed execution: The capability to remove your own blockers, establish your own velocity, and navigate forward in uncertain environments
  • Practical experience incorporating generative A.I. into your daily development workflow
