Senior Developer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

  • Remote · Contractor · $50/hr

We are looking for a Full-Stack Engineer who excels at tackling intricate problems and shipping features that matter. In this role, you will develop cutting-edge AI-driven products designed to reshape how individuals learn and advance. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions that drive real impact.

The products you'll contribute to are redefining education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures in an engaging, TikTok-inspired learning format.
  • TeachTales: Captivates students through personalized, enchanting narratives that enhance understanding.
  • TimeBack: Serves as a learning assistant that connects with existing tools, offering proactive guidance to students.
  • Athena: Employs AI-generated video content and assessments to produce tangible academic results.

This position is centered on creating tangible impact through functional software. You will leverage AI-assisted development and cloud-native platforms to construct full-stack solutions that address real challenges, not merely complete tasks. You will be expected to deliver quickly while maintaining standards, selecting the most straightforward correct approach that balances immediate velocity with future sustainability.

If solving demanding technical problems and delivering meaningful features appeals to you, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and Deploy Full-Stack Capabilities: Own user stories from conception to delivery; refine requirements, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, conduct comprehensive testing, and release to production
  • Identify and Resolve Bugs: Diagnose issues using root cause analysis, address underlying problems rather than surface symptoms, and prevent regressions through intelligent testing strategies
  • Elevate Code Standards: Assess plans and pull requests to ensure they are clear, simple, and correct, preventing technical debt from entering the codebase

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backend architectures without clear purpose
  • Executing specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying problem
  • Spending time in prolonged meetings debating roadmaps and priorities or coordinating with multiple stakeholders
  • Simply delivering features; your responsibility is to resolve genuine problems

Key responsibilities

  • Applying AI to create software that addresses authentic user needs, ships rapidly, and remains maintainable over time

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience developing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework).
  • Proven ownership: Track record of owning entire modules, product features, or teams, beyond merely contributing isolated tasks
  • Self-sufficient execution: Capability to unblock yourself, determine your own rhythm, and navigate forward in uncertain environments
  • Practical experience incorporating generative A.I. into your daily development workflow
