Full Stack Developer   $100,000 USD/year

Description

  • Remote · Contractor · $50/hr

We are seeking a Full-Stack Engineer who excels at tackling complex problems and shipping high-impact features. In this role, you will develop innovative AI-powered products designed to transform how individuals learn and develop. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality execution while ensuring our solutions remain scalable, maintainable, and impactful.

The products you'll contribute to are reshaping education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-style learning platform.
  • TeachTales: Captivates students through personalized, immersive storytelling that enhances comprehension.
  • TimeBack: Serves as a learning copilot, integrating with current applications to provide proactive student coaching.
  • Athena: Delivers measurable academic results through AI-generated videos and assessments.

This position is designed to create tangible impact through functional software. You will leverage AI tools and cloud-native technologies to construct full-stack systems that address meaningful challenges—not merely complete tasks. Expectations include rapid delivery without compromising quality, selecting the most straightforward correct approach that harmonizes immediate velocity with sustained maintainability.

If you are prepared to navigate complex technical obstacles and deliver meaningful features, we welcome your application.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and Deploy Full-Stack Features: Transform user stories from concept to delivery; refine requirements, architect scalable systems, implement backend and frontend logic, conduct comprehensive testing, and release to production
  • Identify and Resolve Bugs: Conduct root cause investigations, address underlying issues rather than surface symptoms, and prevent regressions through strategic testing
  • Elevate Code Quality Standards: Assess plans and pull requests to verify clarity, simplicity, and accuracy, preventing technical debt at its source

What you will NOT be doing

  • Creating pixel-perfect interfaces or intricate backend systems as ends in themselves
  • Following specifications mechanically without grasping the underlying problem
  • Spending time in prolonged meetings about roadmaps and priorities or coordinating with unresponsive stakeholders
  • Simply delivering features; your accountability extends to solving genuine problems

Key responsibilities

  • Applying AI to develop software that addresses authentic user needs, ships quickly, and remains maintainable over time

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience writing production code for both frontend and backend of web applications (any framework).
  • Strong ownership: Proven track record of owning entire modules, product features, or teams, beyond contributing isolated tasks
  • Independent execution: Capability to remove your own blockers, establish your own rhythm, and navigate forward in uncertain environments
  • Experience incorporating generative A.I. into your daily development workflow
