Senior Software Engineer   $200,000 USD/year

Description

The educational technology industry confronts a critical obstacle: creating learning content that engages students while addressing their individual needs. Generic, one-size-fits-all learning platforms saturate the market, making differentiation essential. Evidence shows that educational resources failing to resonate with learners or accommodate diverse learning preferences lead to sharp declines in engagement, resulting in ineffective learning outcomes. Educators face mounting pressure to deliver personalized, high-quality instruction within limited time and budget frameworks.

LearnWith.AI addresses this challenge directly through AI-powered content innovation. Rather than simply developing AI tools, we engineer AI-driven platforms that produce dynamic, learner-centered educational materials. Envision an AI-enabled "Second Brain" for disciplines such as History or Science—a sophisticated knowledge system that generates adaptive, compelling content on demand. This strategy distinguishes us in a competitive landscape while expanding the boundaries of AI's role in education, delivering learning experiences that are more accessible, impactful, and engaging.

This position differs from conventional AI engineering opportunities. You won't be confined to routine programming or theoretical model development. You'll spearhead efforts to transform student learning by architecting and deploying AI-powered systems that deliver genuinely personalized educational experiences. This role isn't suited for those seeking predictable workflows or incremental optimization—it's designed for driven innovators ready to leverage advanced technology for tangible, real-world outcomes.

As an integral contributor to our team, you'll architect AI-enabled educational platforms with the capacity to reshape the learning environment. You'll deploy LLMs as domain specialists to construct contextual knowledge frameworks and intelligent tutoring systems, ensuring our AI produces content that is substantive and effective. If the prospect of applying AI to revolutionize education excites you, and you're prepared to own projects that challenge conventional limits, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Developing Self-Improving AI Content Generation Workflows – Agent-based systems that produce educational content and continuously refine performance through evaluation loops and systematic experimentation.
  • Constructing Evaluation Datasets & Experimental Frameworks – Purpose-built datasets (input → expected output pairs) and scoring mechanisms that measure, benchmark, and enhance AI-generated content quality.
  • Engineering Context Packs – Organized knowledge structures that establish domain grounding, enabling systems to produce precise, high-caliber educational materials across multiple subject areas.

Key responsibilities

  • Distinguish LearnWith.AI in a competitive marketplace by producing engaging, personalized educational content through advanced AI systems

Candidate requirements

  • A minimum of 4 years of software engineering experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience embedding LLMs into production software products (basic chatbot development or use of simple coding assistants does not qualify)
  • Track record of deploying a production system featuring a self-improving agent that iteratively enhanced the system (e.g., autonomously designed tools, refined reward functions, etc.)
  • Experience building evaluation or regression datasets that guide self-improving systems and establishing quantifiable success metrics
  • Hands-on experience with contemporary agent-orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph)
