Description

This position is designed for exceptional engineers who excel at taking ownership, driving strategic decisions, and solving demanding technical problems. You will be responsible for developing the product's most critical features while influencing its technical roadmap and securing its long-term viability and expansion. The technical choices you make will have direct consequences for the product and its users, providing you with the freedom to innovate and the accountability to execute.

The products you'll contribute to are reshaping education:

Your role will be to guide the technical advancement of our products, guaranteeing they remain scalable, maintainable, and resilient over time. Working in close partnership with product teams, you will convert broad requirements into concrete technical architectures and address intricate challenges while upholding rigorous quality standards. The decisions you make will determine the product's trajectory and affect the learning experiences of thousands of students.

We emphasize deliberate planning and upfront design work. Our AI-first methodology automates routine tasks, allowing you to concentrate on high-value decisions and complex problem-solving. You will enjoy substantial autonomy and the capacity to shape product direction while prioritizing long-term stability and scalability.

If you are prepared to spearhead the technical transformation of our SaaS products and harness generative AI to explore new frontiers, we encourage you to apply.

What you will be doing

  • Requirement Engineering: Working with the product team to refine specifications and guiding technical conversations to ensure features align with product objectives.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Overseeing product stability, optimizing performance, and proactively detecting and addressing potential issues.
  • Technical Design: Making high-stakes technical choices that directly influence user experience and product scalability.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Contributing to internal IT infrastructure or outsourced initiatives that lack meaningful user impact.
  • Spending excessive time in unproductive meetings or managing tedious infrastructure problems.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, working on front and backend features.
  • At least 2 years as the primary technical contributor for a SaaS product, driving strategic technical decisions.
  • At least 4 years of experience working on actual SaaS products, not outsourcing or internal IT projects.
  • Experience in using generative AI in your day-to-day development work.
