You will be responsible for building the product's most critical features while guiding its technical trajectory and safeguarding its long-term resilience and scalability. The technical choices you make will have a direct bearing on the product and its users, granting you the freedom to innovate and the accountability to execute.

The products you'll contribute to are reshaping education:

  • TeachTap: Uses AI to animate historical figures within a TikTok-style learning platform.
  • TeachTales: Captivates students through personalized, immersive storytelling that enhances understanding.
  • TimeBack: Serves as a learning companion that connects with existing tools and actively guides students.
  • Athena: Deploys AI-generated videos and assessments to produce concrete academic results.

Your role will be to advance the technical foundation of our products, making certain they remain scalable, maintainable, and dependable over time. Working in close partnership with product teams, you will convert strategic requirements into sound technical architectures and navigate intricate challenges without compromising quality. The decisions you make will define the product's trajectory and determine how thousands of students engage with learning.

What you will be doing

  • Feature Development: Architecting and delivering new capabilities with an emphasis on scalability, maintainability, and sustained product value.
  • Requirement Engineering: Partnering with the product team to clarify requirements and spearheading technical conversations to ensure feature alignment with product objectives.
  • Operations and Maintenance: Overseeing product stability, optimizing performance, and proactively detecting and addressing potential issues.
  • Technical Design: Making high-stakes technical choices that directly shape user experiences and product scalability.

What you will NOT be doing

  • Jumping between short-lived projects or pursuing trendy, hype-driven technologies.
  • Building internal IT systems or working on outsourced initiatives with no tangible user impact.
  • Spending time in unproductive meetings or wrestling with tedious infrastructure challenges.

Candidate requirements

  • At least 1 year of full-stack development experience, working on front and backend features.
  • At least 2 years as the primary technical contributor for a SaaS product, driving strategic technical decisions.
  • At least 4 years of experience working on actual SaaS products, not outsourcing or internal IT projects.
  • Experience in using generative AI in your day-to-day development work.
